Guild Wars questions

I'm going to buy Guild Wars, and I was wondering if I should buy the original or GW:Factions. I heard that if you didn't play through the original you'll be weaker in Factions. Also, I remember a lot of people saying they played from here, so any advice? :hat
 
hmmm, go ahead and get guild wars and if you like it I say get factions, factions mostly just adds two new types of characters and new "faction" skills and sorta like a prestige class where you can join different factions so it really just adds to the core of the game so if you like the first one then factions wont disappoint you
 
I'm gonna try out a few classes in PvP. Like GW over WoW so far because of no lag (on my PC, I have none at all), instant traveling, and it's FREE!
 
my computer lags so bad with guild wars, that's why I'm trying to build a new one
 
Mine isn't that bad, it's just when I first get into an area and whenever I'm around other people it gets pretty laggy.
 
This reminds me that I need to reinstall and actually get past level 13...

So many games to play, so little time in which to play said games.
 
Man I can't decide what profession to pick, just made a Necro/Warrior. I think I'm gonna go back to WoW when the expansion comes out though.
 
I would have gone elementalist with the necro just because elementalists get the glyph of lesser energy which helps in the energy department extremly
