Thanks guys. This was an awesome birthday! 2 days before I went to a Chevelle concert in Asheville, on my birthday I bought a Eclipse Spyder (but I got rid of my famed Camaro), and had a skydiving trip planned for today but it has been postponed until two weeks from now.

Happy Late Birthday! Wow. It sounds like you had an awesome birthday.
I spent too much time in the garage fixing the car and too much money paying for gas. I wanted a cheapo car that I wouldn't spend my month's check on every time the new jegs came out.
Here's a little tip boys and girls, Nitrous Oxide can wreck an engine in around 10-30k miles, I had the car since 1999 and built or replaced the engine 6 times..... that's an average of once a year! My trophy case is full of bent rods, worn out cams, timing chains, oil pump drive shafts (what's left of them anyway) and i've even got a lamp I made out of my last crank shaft, I felt it was time to move on!

Wow thats a lot of rebuilds. Did you ever think about adding a supercharger or an alternative. Or do you just like the Nitrous better?
A supercharger is 3k by itself, not to mention the coin spent on all the other components you'd have to replace with stronger more expensive ones, and you just can't beat the hp/$ NOS gives you. Now you can do both, but it's uber expensive and the car is no longer worth being a daily driver, which wasn't the angle I was going with the car.

no, i was constantly rebuilding the engine because I was constantly racing the car and tearing things up!

Thanks guys! I'll be doing pretty much the same thing I always do on my birthday, Skydive and buy something cool! This time I'm passivly motorcycle shopping. I took my brothers gsxr to have his bottle filled and the guy at the shop had just finished up some work on a cbr that he'd got hurt on 1 too many times and said he wanted rid of it.... that kinda caught my attention and got me wanting my own bike again....... hopefully common sense will talk me out of it! But thanks again, especially bv, he always seems to be on top of things
