huh ?????

Maiden, our friends to the North celebrate Thanksgiving in October. But let's not upset them and tell them that the holiday started here and not there. ;)

ok so they rip off our holiday and then move the date

Actually, if I'm not mistaken, the first thanksgiving that was celebrated in North America was in Nova Scotia during the 1600's. As well the actual date jumped back and forth between Nov. and Oct. but I think we decided it would be better to have a long weekend in Oct. and Nov. (thanksgiving and remembrance day) than to cram them both into the same month.

And if you want to get really technical we both "ripped off" the european thanksgiving which was in honor of the harvest.

Haha, alright fine then. You ripped us off, but we were very indecisive to set a standard date, so you're date is no more incorrect than ours. One thing's for sure, we're both wrong, and in the end, isn't that what Thanksgiving is all about?
