Box art butchered by Americans. Oh well, at least it's coming :)

Hey I've seen worse :lol

I kinda like it, the detective looking guy reminds me of Snatcher, Jake Hunter, and Blade Runner. Any game that reminds me of something I like gets me interested in it :)

The box art isn't that bad, could be worse. I'd still pick it up. :P

Sony responds!!!

http://www.destructoid.com/sony-responds-to-heavy-rain-us-box-art-hate-160360.phtml?

Yesterday, Sony revealed the US box art for Heavy Rain, and compared to the European package, it was awful. Fortunately, enough people thought so for Sony to take notice, and SCEA has responded to the hate with a compromise. It will offer up a printable version of the UK box so that fans can use that one instead.

"We’ll be doing that for those that would prefer the UK artwork. Keep an eye out on the blog around launch," confirms associate product manager Christian Cardona.

It's actually pretty cool that Sony would respond to fan reaction like that, even if the offer of a printable cover is a mere gesture. Seriously though, SCEA needs to start using European box art for its games, because this has happened before. Need I remind anybody of the ICO debacle?

Still though American Boxart or not. I have been dying for Heavy Rain for the past year or so. Indigo Prophecy was one of my all time favorite games. I have high hopes for this one.

Heavy Rain has you taking control of a number of playable characters. However, the game will only put you in the shoes of the heroes tracking down the elusive "Origami Killer." In an interview with French site gameblog.fr, game director David Cage revealed that players will be able to play as the villain in an upcoming DLC episode of the Heavy Rain Chronicles.

Other episodes of the Heavy Rain Chronicles will serve as prequels to the main game. For example, the already-revealed taxidermist scene will explain why Madison Paige is an insomniac. Additional episodes will focus on the other characters in the game, with another revealing how Norman Jayden became addicted to drugs.

The taxidermist episode will be about an hour long, and it's likely all future episodes will be as well. Cage didn't go into details on when the episodes will be delivered or how they will be priced. Depending on the success of these episodes, Quantic Dream may want to pursue even more prequel stories, considering a sequel simply doesn't seem likely.

Re: "Heavy Rain" for PS3 (Feb 23rd in North America)

i just finished playing the demo and all i can say is I WANT MORE!! the game was a real tease, but i loved every minuite of it.

Its like watching a movie but interacting with it, controls are pretty good. It gives you screen promts of when you can interact with some thing. My only thing about controls is the handling while your walking but it would just take some getting use to

Roll on 26th Feb so i can play more

Sorry bout the double post, but OH...MY...GOD. This game is absolutely a day one buy for me. The demo was terrific. I played it 4 times now, making different decisions and seeing how the game progressed. It's simply amazing...everything...just, oh my god.

That's my exact feelings about it right there. And the whole trailer teaser about cutting the finger off....that freaks me out just thinking about having to do it in this game. :lol

Re: "Heavy Rain" for PS3 (Feb 23rd in North America)

The demo really opened my eyes. These guys know how to write an excellent story, but the realism of the characters and the actions you perform are downright TOO real for me :lol Impressive by far.

Re: "Heavy Rain" for PS3 (Feb 23rd in North America)

This has been said by many to be a 9 hour game. But multiply that by the amount of times I'm going to be playing this game in order to see the differences in my decision making and..well..yeah...a lot.
