I knew this would happen with the server move.  You see..... since the new cart (www.egameaddiction.com/store), neogeocd.net, and game addicts / forums have all combined into 1...  its improved rankings.

Plus I have been studying up on ranking for the last 8 months... and I have been TWEAKING so to say.

You will see many more massive increases..... ESPECIALLY once I have the new product + old product on the new cart.... with some other site things I cannot say due to competition :)   They tend to watch the site I found out.  If you want to know (its really stupid actually) I can drop a pm pliknon... maybe you have some good input on it as well.

We have (since getting on the dedicated server) increased our presence by 5-10 times.

I have something else... BESIDES the above that I am doing as well in April/May.... that will make things take off even further.

but yea... the posts here are starting to accumulate some major rank :)

Oh yeah I noticed that. I was looking for the site at a friends house and it wasnt on the top. I found it though  ;)
 
yeah.. lets just say this.... 2 months ago, if you were to search Game Addicts @ google.com
we would  have been somewhere around pages 5-10.

Now... we have 2 listings on Page 1.... result #4 and #5

MSN... its got a bunch as well :)

All the switching and other crap we had to go through the last few months will be paying off....at least I hope :lol

Cool stuff, I know there's a bunch of stuff you can do to improve your rankings, like keyword targetting, ect and organizing your content a specific way

You tried getting into the google adword program with their text ads? Aren't those suppose to give pretty good results?

What I am doing right now is 80% free.... I mean.. it takes my time.... and changing to the ded server wasn't free... but its not totally based on money like adwords..etc. I got a quote from them once.... $0.25 per click....

I'll do my own customization for now.. and do some of that later.

Every single click? No wonder publishers make so much from that.. I've been wanting to use adsense and build up a site for a while now, but could never be bothered.

Text ads, go to google and search for something on the right, those ads right there. I was thinking of running a site with those on them to make some extra cash. I was saying that's probably why I heard people making a lot of money with those if that's only per click, per signup is probably even bigger.

Being an affiliate doesn't cost anything, and from what I gather they're the best kind since the ads aren't obtrusive to the site and are relevant. I think that's why they're so popular. So whatever, if it makes me money I'm happy :)
