horror movies

Who likes them? I do, post your favorites or what you like/dislike about these types of movies.
I just like them because I wanna see if one can ever make me scared I have yet to be scared by any movie.

I obsess over horror movies. It's all my Uncle and I watch every night. We have a collection going, and buy every new one (no matter how cheesy it looks) each week. My favorites are:

Halloween (the series...cause Michael Meyers is the man)
Nightmare on Elm Street (the series...cause it's hilarious)
Night of the Living Dead
Evil Dead

I guess that's why I like horror survival games too haha I just thought about that.

Yes, leprechaun is hilarious also, or silent night, deadly night, but the most funny of all is black Christmas.

I don't really care for them. Most aren't even scary anymore because they are so predictable. Also, I hate how newer ones just try to bank off excessive gore and shock value.

Its not half bad. Give it a rent. The first half is nrop though :lol

My recent favorite horror movie is Hostel.

Literally one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

Some favorites are:

SAW (series)
Texas Chain Saw Massacre (original)
1408
lots of others too

Horror movies have sucked, for years, IMO. That being said, I love Silence of the Lambs, a lot of the old Hitchcock movies, and I really enjoyed Shamalan's movies until the Village, and everything after. :sick

Most other horror movies are devoid of any creativity, and basically involve a bunch of gore and things jumping out at you. The plotline/characters? A flimsy pretext to have uber-violence and scares.

Same here, but lady in the water wasn't as bad as the village
I beg to differ. I think Lady in the Water was his worst one yet. XD

I really liked The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable (not really a horror movie, but a good one of his, none the less), and Signs, though.

Signs was def the only one I would consider a true like horror I guess, the other ones aren't as much but they are all good.
