Man ive never played metroid, but this new one looks very impressive!
I dunno, I never played metroid on SNES, so perhaps there was an element of nostalgia I was missing out on. The reason why I lost interest so quickly in the game was because of the way you played through it. You'd run into non-stop dead ends, and then eventually you'd find a weapon or ability that would allow you to get through one of those dead ends. So you had to spend hours back tracking through areas you'd been to a hundred times, killing the same enemies, just to find the one place where you could use said item/ability. And then once you did that you realized the path you opened up led to another item/ability which meant another several hours of backtracking, doing the same things as before, etc. etc.

Strubes said:Actually, all this talk about the PS3 and the Wii at E3. I've heard from numerous magazines that the Xbox 360 completely dominated E3 this year. Just take a look at GI for instance.

Sartori said:No, really. I must have missed it somewhere.
Strubes said:Yeah, I wouldn't expect Nintendo Power to put that out in the magazine.
