What's Up Guys/Gals?
Being a "Gamer" has enriched my life in a few ways.I'm sure we all know the satisfaction of finally getting by a certain level or killing an extremely difficult boss in an "RPG" or another genre.Video games have taught me to have patience with respect to other things in my life.
When I'm playing chess,I find it easier to deal with pressure better from an opponents attack, because I've learned to have patience dealing with a video game's challenges,I'm less likely to lose my cool and make a bad move in chess which could cost me the game.
Some video games I play use words that I'm not familiar with,so I look them up in the online dictionary. If I hear a word on TV that I can't define,I look it up.The better your vocabulary is,the better conversation becomes.Video games have taught me excellent "Hand-Eye" coordination, which has improved my basketball dribbling skill.
The feeling of satisfaction obtained from finally reaching a goal in video games is good for the mind. These aspects, and how they integrate with each other are often not known by a non-gamer who just chalks up gaming as just another unproductive activity. That couldn't be further from the truth,in my opinion.
Godspeed,
Kaz
