How many times have you beaten Metal Gear Solid?

I went through it on normal probably ten times a week during a summer. And without booting it up I believe Extreme was the hardest with no radar?

I could be wrong. that...was about 8 times a week for three months straight. I know my number is over 50+ :)

How about you guys?

Maybe that is the greatest game of all time for me? I can still play it and enjoy it.
 
I don't remember. I played it to the ground as well. Probably in the twenties. My favorite game though is still RE4 which I have played through at least 40 times.

And I've yet to beat the game once. I lost interest in chapter two.
 
I beat twinsnakes and 2 three times (Sometimes I play 2 and I skip all of the cuscenes just to see the ending. :D Blows me away every time) And ive beaten MGS3 twice.
 
Well. How could the gc version of a classic be any good. I didn't like twin snakes at all.

If you don't like metal gear solid then you must be one of the people who can't beat it or understand the maturity of it's story :)

Good point. I did kind of make a biased statement. My bad. I guess I can't compare the gc version to the psx version. I also grew up playing games like mgs. Maybe that's why I'm a douche about it.

dude chill. i like metal gear its sweet, i just didnt like the first one. i have the second one for xbox and the third for ps2, and loved them both

EDIT - although i do prefer splinter cell more, i have nothing against mgs in any way, other than it confuses me at times

You know what the one major thing splinter cell had over mgs that I really liked...?

Sam could jump.

And, I loved splinter cell 1 + 2 and never finished chaos theory lol.

I quit at level one. Just up and quit.
 
i think chaos theory is the best one, actually

number two being the worst

i dont think they want us off topic about mgs though

why dont u go ahead and make a SC general discussion thread if u want :)
 
European Extreme = if you are spotted by the ememy, its game over...plus, no radar, lol.
