I AM BEOWULF

Havent seen it, but from what I can gather from the comercials, it looks like someone said "Hey, lets make shadow of the colossus a videogame." And someone was like "OK, but how about we do this instead."
 
My newspaper (which is pretty critical of movies) gave it a 2.5 out of 4 (average to good), which is kind of decent.

It seems like a good movie, all in all.

Umm how bout they made the movie based off of the play "Beowulf"
 
Geeze, why is everyone so critical here ALL the time?! :lol

Beowulf...haven't seen it yet, but I will soon..in 3-D. Hopefully it'll be cool.

Are you gonna tell us what you thought of it? I saw an add for it on tv and it looked pretty cool, so I was wondering as to how it was....
 
Ok well lets see here.

This movie is all cgi, the people look like the people in shrek but even more real, half way through the movie i forgot it wasnt real. The graphics in this movie are very very nice. I would give this movie a solid B- . This movie is only shown in 3-d, and frankly if it wasnt, i would give it a c-. The 3-d felt awsome and keep the audience. Personally at the show there were three kids behind me and my friend, they talked thorughout the movie and kept kicking the seat. Eventually i had to stop this. These kids were only like 16 and were all under 6-feet tall. I am 19 and almost 6-9 and really wish i could of beat the crap out of these morons, but legally I cant touch them. I belive these guys were a reason why i didnt enjoy the movie like i should have. The fight scenes were totally awsome, and belive it or not this movie was more violent then 300 imo. But dont let my review of the movie make up your mind, see it for yourself, while its not transformers (my favorite movie) it is still a decent flick. :D
 
I forgot it was animated until I saw the commercial 20 times and thought, "Wait, that kinda looked off." So I rewinded it and was like, "Oh, yeah!"

Those sound like some really annoying punks that were sitting behind ya!

It sounds pretty cool over all. 3-d is neat too. I wasn't expecting it to compare to Transformers for awesomeness, but as long as it is still pretty cool, I bet it is worth going to see.

I don't like it, but I was like, dawg this is sick, when I read the epic poem a while back, and the movie destoys the story that I loved.

They make Beowulf a money hungry mercenary, ann don't get me started on Skankgalena Jolie.

Frendel's Mother was supposed to be a monster, not an evil seductress.

And, there was no sex between Beowulf and Grendel's mother.
 
So it's a lot like Brother's Grimm. Okay as a stand-alone movie. But when you look at the story it's self, it sucks. Gotcha. man I hate how Hollywood screws with the original story.
