Sending out my 3rd Xbox 360 tommorrow morning...phew...I tell ya this is getting old...
 
Are you getting another? If you do, sell it right away and wait for for next year so you can get one with a new chip.

yeah I am. Sell it? That's not a bad idea, but I really want Guitar Hero 3 asap..
 
Well, if you get another, it'll crap out like this one. At least if you sell it, you'll make some of your money back.
 
Tempting indeed. I dont know dude, but the good news, is if this one DOES crap out...it is under a 1 year warranty. So the 5th one I WILL sell by far. Because I'm so sick of Microsoft at this rate.
 
My tv's lamp crapped out before my second launch 360. :lol I wouldn't worry about it too much. Some serial number batches seem more reliable than others.

Well, and I guess now the chips are already being put in, so maybe this next one will be good.
 
If you do, sell it right away and go buy one from the store.
 
don't feel to bad Mega I have a friend who's been thru 10 of them before he got the elite and since he got it no crap out's.... and speaking of elites mine's get's the rings of death but only at Mia's house hmmmmmm (looks at Mia) anyways Yeah so it still works but boy do I scream like a little girl every time I see my red rings at...... Mia's house.......hmmmmm
 
I'm on my second 360 right now and it hasn't crapped out yet but my first one was terrible. I hated sending it back -- maybe because of the 90 day wait period -- but it was worth getting a new one.
 
I've had the same 360 for over a year and it comes up with disc read errors quite often, but it never has on halo 3 yet...

I got the rings of death once but that was because the outlet at my dad's house wasnt supplying enough power to the 360

That was because it was on a wobbly surface. Sometimes the 360 will do the RROD if it's not stable or if there's not enough power, like in Auron's case. All you have to do is move it somewhere where it's not wobbly. :D
 
I dunno, he thinks it's my power supply. :? But it worked okay for you last night when you used it. :-\
 
You know, I have a buddy that purchased his 360 on launch day. He bought the external fan setup and kept it off the floor. He says it's runs flawlessly.
 
Our launch day system (me and Mai) was kept off the floor in a very well ventilated area. Our room - actually our whole apartment - was not hot, or most days even warm. It died in one hour of firing it up. We exchanged it out for another 360 from a different serial batch and have had no problems in the almost-year we have had it. My elite has no problems yet either.
