If you don't have Xbox Live, that takes half of CoD4's fun away, so yeah, Assassin's Creed is probably the better choice in that instance.

As far as buying a gift for a girl instead of a game...well, if she ends up not being your girl, you missed out a on a game and she got free money.

I don't know man, AC isn't a game that needs to be bought yet...i mean you could just wait until it drops in price (which i assume will happen). trust me your not missing anything good...

Without live CoD4 is kind of pointless...

Id use the 60 bucks to buy a year of Xbox live...
 
Yeah, it's already a Greatest Hits/Player's Choice game. Well, it's able to be, it's already sold a million copies.
