I just saw the movie "300"

quote from Zack Snyder interview at http://www.mtv.com/movies/news/articles/1554534/20070313/story.jhtml

21. This stuff really happened! Well, most of it anyway.
"The events are 90 percent accurate. It's just in the visualization that it's crazy. A lot of people are like, "You're debauching history!" I'm like, "Have you read it?" I've shown this movie to world-class historians who have said it's amazing. They can't believe it's as accurate as it is."

Greatest lie ever told? You decide.

They didn't falter in storyline if you paid attention to the movie. I knew exactly what was going on the whole time.

Never said that, I was going in the direction of the point that the action made the movie, not the story. Not really a detailed plot.

They're thinking about making a sequel to "300"....I think if they do it'll be about 95% action which is cool with me. haha

A sequel? That's just silly considering that it was based on ONE event in history.

I STRONGLY disagree that it's "The best movie ever", though I did like it.

LOTR was an epic trilogy. Gladiator was a VERY good film. My girlfriend and I both saw some similarities in 300 to LOTR and Gladiator. But, I don't know how comparible they are. They all have a totally different feel to them. 300 has far different cinematography and more mature content than the other movies.

Similar scenes were definitely present (massive armies in LOTR and 300, the exotic animals and such). And Gladiator, being based on ancient Rome definitely had similarities to ancient Greece.

All three movies are good, but I won't say any is "the best movie ever". Rather, all three are good in different ways that do not appeal to every one.

Ugh...I just saw this movie. IT SUCKED!!! The fight scenes were cool, yeah, but the rest of the story was uninspired and boring. Similar movies in the genre are just head and shoulders above this movie and I don't even see how someone can even attempt to compare this to an Oscar caliber movie like LOTR or Gladiator.

For an action movie, it didn't have enough action. I mean, it did, but for me the fight scenes were kind of weak. Maybe it was just the way it was filmed. Or it could be that it was really hyped and didn't live up to it. It didn't feel visceral enough. Yeah I know that's weird but I dunno. It just didn't impress me that much. I saw it was like, "Ok, that was cool." My friend meanwhile loved it so much he's seen it 3 times already. But I mean I saw it once and that's fine for me. I wasn't impressed to the point where I feel the need to go and see it again.

Quoted for truth.

I dont think that its the best movie ever made, but absolutely the best movie of its kind... I prefer a suspenseful, thinker movie as opposed to action, but this movie still rocked
