I'm sitting here reading this, and cannot for the life of me figure out who is right. The guy advicating hate crimes, or the one committing hate crimes.

From a legal standpoint, Kaz, you are in the wrong. You did what you thought was right in bringing street justice to someone who obviously diserves it, but that in it's self is wrong. Unfortunately, if you cannot get through to a racist that his beliefs are not only wrong but hypocritical, then there is no way you can get through with fists.

From a moral standpoint, I'd say that if you are a Christian, you are obligated to shake the dust off your feet. You said your peace, but that should be all. Do you think you are giving Christ any glory by fighting for him with weapons? Hardly. If your enemy strikes you on the cheek, offer him the other. If it were me, would have shrugged it off and prayed for him. That's all we can do and should do...

Would you have shrugged it off if it were your father nailed to a cross slowly dying,to make sure that the very skinhead that hates his guts gets forgiven and allowed into Heaven?

Hikari and Dart actually said everything I wanted to say.

I don't agree with white supremacists or racism in general, but it is not up to me to carry out judgement on such persons. That is God's job.

In your situation Mr. KAZ, I would have left the situation alone. Resorting to violence was not the best choice, as violence usually begets violence rather than solving any kind of problem. I doubt that the beating you gave him will change his mind any.

You're probably right Mai,it might not make a difference.Perhaps he was raised to hate people from a different culture,or maybe his friends got him into it,I don't know.He might have had a bad experience with someone from another culture in his past.Whatever the reason,it doesn't justify his or his friend's actions in any way.

No young child wakes up in the morning and says, yeah I think I'll be a misguided hateful person when I grow up.It's a sad fact, but we as adults corrupt our children.I truly hope he opens his eyes and sees that we are all God's children, regardless of the fact that their skin color is different. When we get cut we all bleed red.Not black and white.Know This,We are going to need each other soon, regardless of our race before we know it.

Thank you

Two problems with this. One, do you actually think salvation in Christ Jesus is a license to sin? Jesus said if you hate your brother (brother in Adam, or brother in Christ), then you have murdered him in your heart. That means that this clown, although he professes faith, carries out his life as though he has no part in Christ's salvation. So skinhead or not, you will know who they belong to by the fruits of their life.

Two, what's the difference between a guy who slanders Him now, and those who slandered Him then? Nothing. But the major difference is Christ didn't fight back. He took it because of the bigger picture. We too should follow His lead in that when someone slanders His name, we should say our peace. If the slanders persist, we should get up and walk away. We've already tried the diplomatic approach. Now it's time to reduce this guy's audience by one.

Not trying to come off hard or abrasive. I'm just trying to give you sound advice in light of this unfortunate event.

Of course not Dart,I don't think it's a license to sin.As I stated earlier,Jesus died for our sins, that doesn't give you carte blanche to go out and start sinning or hurting people.

Well, for my two sense. I certainly think racists suck. But beating up jews er beating up people in laundromats...it is all still starting fights and hurting people.

Anyone losing their cool and committing a violent act is really sad.

There is no way to beat someone into respecting your God.

If someone hates others and beats them up...and then you hate them and beat them up...seems like you are reducing yourself to their level.

If the man had been hurting or harming another human and you had then beaten him up...that woulda had a cause and made way more sense.

I am just sorry you lost your cool and started hurting someone.

Who am I? Osama Bin Laden!

I made it quite clear that I'm not a violent person.I know it wasn't a Christian thing to do.Jesus most definitely would have handled it better,I understand that.I'm not proud at all about how I handled that.I don't mean sound too defensive, but it sounds like you guys are really rubbing it in.C'mon now!

I am not trying to say you are Osama. But you have to expect some sort of response...prolly in the negative...when you make a whole thread on how you decided to beat someone up for thinking differently then you. I have talked with a couple dif people who had very similar beliefs to the guy you met. I think their beliefs are horrible and really cruel, so it isn't that I do not know what it is like dealing with someone like that. But violence is not an answer.

Perhaps you would receive a more sympathetic response if your thread had read something like, "I messed up really bad. I just beat up a guy cuz I did not like how he thought and reasoned and I feel terrible over it and am super sorry I did it". Then, I woulda been more inclined to come across sympathetically. But maybe I misread your thread, but it seemed to me like you were trying to make it out how bad the other dude was.

But I am glad you are not a violent person. That is good.

Personally, I have said my peace. But since I also don't think it would be a good idea to keep bagging on Kaz, I'd think it's best if we closed this thing up.
