IGN Reviews Galaxy.

The Freeman
9.5 Presentation
An unnecessary side-tale contrasts with a traditional story. Otherwise, very slick menus and production values, not to mention WiiConnect24 support and a coop mode.

9.5 Graphics
Outstanding on Wii. The first Wii title that looks like it's really pushing the console. Great art combines with great tech for stunning results. Runs in 480p and 16:9 widescreen.

10 Sound
Normally, we'd harp on the lackluster voice acting, but whatever -- the orchestrated music is so totally amazing that it obliterates any other aural shortcomings.

10 Gameplay
Mario 64 in space. Phenomenal platforming and a huge variety of galaxies to see and explore. Doesn't get any better.

9.5 Lasting Appeal
40-plus galaxies -- all vastly different and filled with unique challenges. 120 stars t collect. Plus, a two-player semi-coop mode. Send your accomplishments to friends over WiiConnect24.

9.7

I'm sort of wary to trust IGN, but I'm still really excited about Mario Galaxy, even more so now. :D

Gamespot reviewed it too. They loved it. :D

Yeah, they really made a game for the fans this time, they weren't just worried about making money.

Now, Zelda should be the next step in this direction.

gametrailers gave this game a 9.8 the only complaint was the story but as they say "if you wanna play mario galaxy for his story then you've been lost the last 20 years"
though they gave gameplay a 10/10 here's the link

I hear this is less like SM64 and more like SM3, am I hearing this right?
Yes and no. They're saying it's like SM3, in that it's the pinnacle of 3-D platforming, like SM3 was to 2-D platforming, but it still has a lot of the qualities of Mario 64.

I can wait. Am I the only one who isnt hopping on the hype train?
