I'm getting a GBA this week.

Well if you like rpgs, i dont see how you could not like this game. It is one of my fav. games of all time. Its a great RPG where you can collect Djinn which are like small creatures that can fight for you. Im not doing this game any justice by trying to describe it. Just get it, you wont be dissappointed.

I thought that the GBA SP played GBA games as well as the SP version, but not the other way around?? Because I always see SP games that say "Only for the SP" tagged on them.

haha alright. Sounds like it has some pokemon elements on it..but that's a good thing.

I'd would also recommend golden sun, both 1 and 2
Also, I found FF 1-2 dawn of souls was pretty engaging, mostly for nostalgia

but back to Golden Sun....
your four main characters do the fighting mostly

you have elemental monstesr that enhance your stats aka dynjin
summons
magic
swords
and some really cool dugeons

also, you use your "psy energy" aka magic to solve puzzles

the only thing I did not enjoy about golden sun was the squeaks the characters made when they talked

other games:
metroid zero mission - remake of super metroid
(thinks of others)

well, golden sun came out about two years ago, so you'll probably find it in the bargain bin and 2 came out about a year ago so it should be cheap as well

GBA!

haha sorry for the confusion. :lol

Actually... I say go for an SP... if you can.  the GBA is nice and all... but NOTHING is better than a GBA with a backlight.  Seriously.

Games that I recommend:
Super Mario Advanced series (Super mario world, Super mario 3, etc)
Kingdom Hearts
Final Fantasy 4
Final Fantasy 1 &2
Metroid fusion
Metroid zero mission  (both gba metroid games rock)
Advanced Wars 2 (I love this game)
Golden Sun 1&2
Metal Slug
Fire Emblem (both)
Breath of Fire (Both)
Sword of Mana

That should start you out fine.  There are a crap load more... I am talking, you could have over 100 games and still not be done with the good ones.

Haha thanks alot BV!

I'm definitely gonna have to check those out.

P.S....I'm still having a hard time figuring out what to do in the Fight Moves part for DOA 3...Idk if u got the message or not..but I don't know how to word it when it's a diagonal or half cirle move. :-\

pm me again.. I don't think I got it

I don't know about kingdom hearts, I didn't think the whole card battle system worked very well

yeah... some people didn't like that... some people did... card systems seem to divide the gamers a lot of times.

but ... the reviews were pretty good... and people seemed to enjoy the game.

Bv :hat
