Is anyone getting Fable?

Well each city is it's own load time (well, one has 3 different load spots) and so do the numerous places of wilderness (where traders always seem to be and enemies always appear when you return to the area after leaving). Each load is about 5-8 seconds, and there's not much more than about 10 seconds load to get into the game from the main menu. You can skip all the cinematics (as far as I know I've been able to) and there's a nice teleport/recall thing to teleport you to any town you've visited from anywhere on the planet you are. You can then recall to that place you left.
I'm most definatly(sp?) hooked on the game, so you should at least give it a try. I think it's just about perfect. I only notice a few problems when I open chests and it shows me before fully loading and it hangs for about a half-second. Nothing too big. I also noticed that some of the shadows on the characters are strange in a few small spots, but also not too noticable unless you're a perfectionist like me :D. I know it's hard to make good shadowing on characters, so I'll let it slip because of the hardness and the incredibility of the game.
 
Sorry to wander off the topic, but I gotta have my say about Zelda here.

Now I love the Zelda games as much as the next guy, infact way more than the next guy, but saying that "nothing will ever be better than Zelda" is just crazy. We've got a whole future of gaming ahead of us, there's a very fair chance that something will come along that can top Zelda. In my opinion, Final Fantasy is better than Zelda, but i'm talking about something that many will feel is better. Zelda games don't have the strongest storylines either, which is what the majority look for in an RPG game.

I'm sorry, but as much as I love Zelda, it's not the be-all-end-all of video games.
 
Hey, there are alot of games I like better than Halo in some aspects. Multiplayer is the only thing that keeps me coming back to Halo. And I know it will be topped.
 
Well Halo hasn't quite reached the level that Zelda has just yet (it may do someday). I consider Zelda to be the Star Wars of Video Games...so many people like it, and some will actually be flabbergasted to hear if someone doesn't like the series

I don't know man... OOT, MM, and Wind Waker had cool stories... BUT Zelda is not a true RPG.... its an Action RPG.
Action RPG's concentrate more on exploration and action .... than the story.  Basically... in an RPG you follow a story, in an action RPG... you play the story.

Final Fantasy is not really comparible except for how much fun you had with either or.

as for multiplayer FPS.... Spartan have you tried Delta Force Black Hawk Down? that is pretty sweet.

Lol, FF better than Zelda? Sorry, I had to laugh out loud when I heard that....Nah, I'm just messing with you. Sure I liked all FF's but they never "wowed" me like Zelda does. And in my personal opinion I don't know if anything will ever top OOT, but like I said I don't know.....I mean think about it, since the N64 days we have had 3 new consoles, and yet nothing has touched me like Zelda did {corny I know}...Halo-close but not quite, KOTOR-fun but not even close, etc, etc.....Times are changed too man, and sadly I feel the gaming industry has took a step in the wrong direction. Now days alot of the games we have are too oriented with sex, violence, etc. What happened to video games being video games? When I "used" to think of video games I would think of magical journeys, fantasy worlds, creatures that provoked your imagination, and so on. And for that fact alone Zelda will always stand above the crowd, because thats what Zelda is, a fantasy world that engrosses your imagination. Sure I like GTA but sadly the industry has taken it to far. I mean crap, you know things have gone downhill when games like "the guy game" start showing up on kids' Christmas wish list....I guess we just have to wade through the piles of poo to find the jems!!!!!!

That makes no sense, of course it's comparible.

X2, in my opinion Final Fantasy is a better series with tons more playing time, dominating storylines and more memorable characters. I didn't say it as fact, though.
 
I always thought Zelda was more memorable cause it's more open and free roaming so things seem more realistic. Like when your fighting a boss it seems so much more intense cause your actually moving around and so is the boss. In FF you just kinda stand there.....I never felt fear or adrenaline fighting a boss in FF cause we were just standing around playing chess {basically}.....And FF's are only long like that cause you spend so much time with random battles and leveling up, if you were to just run through them they would be about as long as OOT, well at least FFX was, beat it in about 30 hours.....Don't get me wrong, I love FF's, but they are in a class of there own....As for RPG's you don't get better than FF but Zelda isn't really an RPG...
