Starrynite said:I think it is more along the lines of, if the game gets too hard, take a break and devise a new strategy. Leveling up doesnt add any benefit at all in RPGs. It all resides in Strategy.
Alright then. Upload a video of you beating Final Fantasy III(DS) by only fighting battles you have to, which means bosses and forced encounters. You won't have any good items, you won't have money to buy anything, you won't have any remotely good stats, but it's ok, you'll have strategy.Starrynite said:Leveling up doesnt add any benefit at all in RPGs. Type advantages are just that. Advantages, not victories.Starrynite said:No with strategy you can easily win against Water using Fire, everyone does it all the time when they started blue/red version and took on Misty with their Charmander/Charmeleon, simply put it was strategic use of moves and not leveling up.
If I had a sig, I'd put that in it, so everyone could laugh at it.Starrynite said:Leveling up doesnt add any benefit at all in RPGs.
Starrynite said:Ive beaten plenty of RPGS at levels lower than what everyone else had because I had a strategy that was fail proof, Use status abilities at all time, have a power attacker, et cetera et cetera. If one cant think it is able to be done, then woe be unto that person.
fhqwhgads said:Uh, no it doesn't. If you want to beat an RPG, you just have to level up. That's it. Is the game too hard for you at one point? Level up, problem solved.
Zidart said:you haven't played many RPGs have you? (by that i mean square-enix/namco) (heck remember FF3/and FFXII)
but yeah what starrynite says is somewhat true, is possible to beat some RPGs with low levels if you use correct strategies (go to gamefaqs and check)
Strubes said:Well yeah, you could beat that one boss on FFX (the undead sea serpent) with Tidus at lvl 1 if you wanted to, just by throwing a Phoenix Down at it.
