It finally happened...

Today I purchased a Premium Xbox 360. With the slew of amazing games coming in the near future, it was the least I could do.

I also abused an Amazon special, where if I purchased the console I could get either Gears of War or Viva Pinata for free. Well, both games could be added to the cart and received for free with the console. Needless to say my 360 should be here this weekend, and the two games whenever they're released.

I also managed to find someone online who is sending me one of his copies of Perfect Dark Zero at no cost to me, so that's three free games with the purchase of the system.

Now I need to get out to a local CompUSA so I can get 40% off Xbox 360 accessories, such as a controller or year of Xbox Live.

My friend is going to sell me his extra wired controller, as well as let me borrow his games since he's getting a PS3 at launch. Dead Rising, here I come.

And I'll be living on demos and classic Xbox games besides the four I mentioned.

Good deal?

I actually prefer wired controllers thoug cuz batteries run out quick on the wirelesses unless you get a play n charge thingy

wish there were deals like that when i got my 360
 
I do to and if i had a play n charge or an unlimited supply of batteries i'd use it all the time too, I just keep forgetting to buy one everytime i go to the city
 
Lately I have been eyeballin' the 360 too. But I'm still riding the current gen wave. Maybe when I get my Revolution, I'll get a 360 too. :D
 
Well what a turn of events. Apparently they found out about their error, and informed me that they corrected it this morning. Now the system should send today and I'll get it this weekend, but they cancelled the order of the two games. Amusingly enough, the bill still has both price reductions on there, so it says I'm getting the 360 Premium for like $308 and some odd cents. Hopefully all will work out that way, but I doubt it.
 
None of my friends have ever had problems either.

Well mine's here, in the building, but the front desk attendant won't let me have it until 4PM, so it "gives them enough time to make a list of who gets what packages". I hate these people, and am quite tempted to take my desk chair and a newspaper and sit right in front of them until exactly 4, then demand my package.

Then I need to get to a store sometime this weekend and pick up some games.
