Jobs

I am a Sheriff for the Palm Beach County Sheriff. It has its ups and downs. I mostly work in an office because I recover data off Hard Drives that have been confiscated and assist with 911 recorders! I was a Network Manager for 12 years before being pulled into this job.

Are you for real? How old are you then, if you were a network manager for all that time?
I should start a thread to see who the oldest person in here is.

First of all, nice posting. You got five in a row.

Second, It's not as glamorous as you might think. It almost feels like Im back in high school because of the young, just-out-of-high-school, kids working there. Not to mention that there is a lot of drama because everyone wants to get ahead in the company. Other than that, I really do enjoy my job.

Man..give me some games to test I'll play and won't sleep at all.

Is it anything like the movie Grandma's Boy?

Sorry about all the posts in a row. I did not know how to do whatever it is that that other dude told me to do, to make it not be in seperate posts.
(And I still don't)

I didn't realize this forum was so against that here. I am not used to that being an issue if you are actually caring on a conversation. Sorry....leaving thread now....

No one really cares. Don't worry about it.

@mrs. enigma-no one really cares that much, as long as it's not just stupid things over and over.

How old does someone have to be to work at Best Buy? I'm also thinking about a job at Hot Topic (or Gamestop when I'm 17.) Right now I'm just working on school right now, waiting to get my permit, so I can start practicing driving. ;D

Probably 16 for best buy. Some places prefer you to be 18 or older, but I remember lots of my high school friends working there back in the day.

Whoa, I actually complimented on you posting. Sorry if it didn't come out well. No biggie, post as much as you like. :)

:lol I wish. That would make work even more fun, although there is a guy in a trench coat that looks like the developer in the movie. And on our breaks we do battle each other in video games. Our building isn't as nice as the one in the movie but it's still pretty cool.

Are you serious? I thought you and that other guy, were bothmoderaters and that I was annoying you and breaking some sort of rule, or somthing.

You mean I cried for like 45 min. because somebody wasn't happy with me......and noone even cared???????????

Man, I hope I get over this head cold soon, it is making me be super sad for no reason......although if I was well I probably still would of cried if I thought I had broke a rule and annoyed somebody, but I could have stopped sooner.

I thought the moderaters were all rippin on me, or something....

Well, I will try really hard not to post two things in a row in a thread, and to figure out how to quote everyone in one post. So, don't worry about that. I really like this forum ....as long as everyone is not upset with me...

But anyway, back on topic now...carry on as before....

Totally OT, but man, is that a girl thing or something? Because I had the same thing happen to me. I mean I was playing a video game and it was a sad part (Elite Beat Agents, doing the Christmas scene...OMG so sad) but I really didn't think I should have been as sad as I was.

Well, my husband never ever cries, so I guess it is a girl thing....but he felt extra sad from this head cold....but I just don't have much of a shell...some of my sisters are very tough though....I don't think they cry much ever....

Startek Call Center, which is contracted by Cingular Wireless.

If you live in south central US and call the 1-800 Cingular helpline, there is a small chance you could be talking to me. :lol

CreepinDepth's PM box is full, or whatever....I don't know how to tell you that except to just post it in a thread......

:lol

Just found this. It more or less sums up every job I've ever had.
