just bought my first gamecube

But SSBB doesn't really exist yet, and the debate of which AC is better is pretty even on both sides.

It doesn't exist yet, but I'm pretty sure it comes out within the year. Of course nothing's official yet as to a release date. AC, I just prefer on the DS cause I can take it with me anywhere, and you can visit other people's towns via wifi. I don't like having to take my memory card and drive to a friend's house just to see what he has. Once again, this is all just debatable.

I think that four swords and crystal chronicals were possibly two of the worst games I've ever played...especially multiplayer.

We've already known it'll be out this year. Person just got a GCN, they probably don't want a Wii yet anyways.

And yes, FSA did suck.

Wasn't Geist good prerelease but sucked when launched? I heard that the only possessing certain people sucked and you were forced into it.

Well, you were forced into it because it was part of the game. It's like playing a Final Fantasy game and complaining that you had to use a sword instead of a machine gun. :lol But yeah, I saw it on some videogame TV show, and went out and got it. Reviews were decent, but I haven't invested any time with it yet.

good games? That's up for debate.
Okay, so many of the games most people like for the cube, you don't seem to. I'm just basing this on the opinions I've seen you post, but you don't seem to like many of the first party Nintendo games (ex. Zelda) and you won't get anything out of the Cube if you don't like Nintendo's first party games because Nintendo systems never get good third party games.

Uh, Resident Evil 4 and Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes are good third party games. Don't say never. Few and far between? Yes, not never though.

Not everyone has to be in love with Nintendo games.

...Jesus.

I know and I never said he had to, but I am saying that giving your opinion about how good a Nintendo system is may not be good if you don't like a lot of Nintendo's first party series. If you don't, you will obviously not have a lot of good games on the gamecube you like. That's why I said what I did, because Strubes' opinion on the Gamecube may be misleading to the original poster because he doesn't like many first party Nintendo games.

Here's to that. Worst FF ever. You should be ashamed if you are a cube owner and don't have Melee.

@Retro: Jesus loves Nintendo. Shutup.

lol yeah, it was the worst FF ever.

Retro has a point. But Homicidal always tries to jump on me when I say bad things bout a Nintendo game....especially the overrated ones. :lol

Great time to pick up last gen games right now. RE4 and Wind Waker are GC must-haves, especially now that they're cheap. The Pikmin games are either love 'em or hate 'em types but used copies of Pikmin 2 are kinda expensive for some reason (BTW, if you like Pikmin then check out Chibi-Robo, $10 new on the bargain rack at K-Mart). Super Mario Sunshine gets a bad rap but it's okay. The Viewtiful Joe games aren't bad, either , like old-school platforming/brawlers with a face lift. The Simpsons: Hit & Run is dirt cheap for GC and is the best Simpsons game ever, it's basically a tone-downed version of GTA set in Springfield.

Didn't enjoy Metroid Prime 2 as much as the first one, they use that "light world/dark world" gimmick to make the world seem bigger. The GC Pokemon games are very disappointing. Wait for the price to drop on Twilight Princess.

I see Jack is looking for another ban. ;)

There are lots of good third party games for Nintendo systems. Gamecube has RE4, Baiten Kaitos, Twin Snakes, Beyond Good and Evil, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Chibi Robo, Eternal Darkness and Viewtiful Joe...just off the top of my head. So no, you don't have to play the first party Nintendo games at all to enjoy the system.

Although as mentioned, everyone should play Melee.

I see Retro needs to know I was being sarcastic. ;)

No, I'm literally talking about you could only possess certain people and you only could once you reached a certain point, even if you could find them before that.

Yeah. You have to scare them into possession. Some are hardet to possess than others. I see your point, though.

u named a bunch that i'm interested in except for pikmin. i've seen it b4 at stores and heard about it but don't know what its like or if it's worth any time. i'm really starting to second guess my decision on buying this gamecube. or maybe i'm just not playing the right games. i'm not too much on zelda games. i love any mario game and i'm definitely interested in super mario sunshine, paper mario, and luigi's mansion if anybody can give me a good/bad on these games. i want to pick up Melee but im too afraid that it'll get boring and repetitive. And i'm definitely getting TOS next because i've heard a lot of good things about it. And what about any of the resident evil games? Which one is the best for GC?

Mario Sunshine is a good game (not nearly as good as Mario 64 thought) and Luigi's Mansion is pretty average. Paper Mario is great, one of the best RPG's on the cube and I would definitely recommend it.

Get Melee. It's awesome and you won't find it repetitive for a while, especially if you have friends to play with.

What's TOS?

Get Resident Evil 4. All the other ones suck.

Tales of Symphonia. i bought metroid prime and after playing it for about two hours i put it down and never picked it back up. BTW does anyone play much of the wrestling games for gamecube. i have wrestlemania XIX but i've heard there's way better out there.

Nope. The Resident Evil remake is one of the best ones. You can get both the Remake and RE4 for twenty bucks together. RE0 is probably the only one that isnt as good as the others, but he might like it.
