Killzone 2 developers admit to touching up screenshots

Oh please, I'm sure other game companies photoshop some of their publicity shots as well.

Guerilla was just brave/stupid enough to admit to it. :lol

guys.....look at the first screenshot that came out of TP and halo 1 and 2 then look at the result xD and you'll see a big difference (i can't remember if it was halo 1 or 2) developers do stuff like this all the time, the first screeshots are usually their "goal" besides killzone 2 is just in the development process

Agreed. This is probably a pretty common practice I bet.

The real one looks bleh, shading really helped the look of this.

Well, like I said, the shading is a big deal, it does in fact make it look tons better, helping to set the mood and all. So that screenshot went from bleak, dark hallway, to generic hallway.

Mario Galaxy used this tactic, Final Fantasy XII used it...as did many others.

I don't see what the big deal is. :lol

yep a lot of games (except the sonic ones) uses the trick of the super screenshot but the actual product is almos never the same

Amazing, how much two minutes of Photoshopping can do. :lol

All devs do this to show what the final product is going to look like around when it's goin to be released. I still say that the original is from awhile back at E3 07 when the dev demo that some studios got looks a whole lot better than the non doctrined screeny

I love how everyone's flipping out about it to. It's just an early build. The final game could end up looking better than the doctored screenshot. :)

Quite the contrary, I'm laughing at the fact that such a small difference managed to make headlines.

I'm not so annoyed that they did it, just that they actually showed the less than stellar real one.

Go back to lying to us, please.
