Legend of Dragoon

The magical world of Ebay has them. Unless the store here has them. I am growing to loathe the game though. I can't help but playing, but at the same time it isn't like other games where it steadily gets harder. Some of the early fights are the hardest in the game, and others are easy. Right now the one I am stuck on is supposedly one of the easiest. I may have to start over. I think my problem is I don't have the right equipment and supplies...

You have to beat all his minions before killing the commander himself, but the minions come back after a few turns. So you have to pull out your strongest Dragoon Spells.

Okay guys, I am stuck yet AGAIN!!! This time I am at the Winglies' old city and am getting my tail kicked by the big jewel thing that has the Dragon Block Staff. Spells seem to have little effect. Dragoon magic is useless because it uses the staff. And it seems that physical attacks take forever. That and it uses devistating light magic attacks that will even kill Kongol in just two turns. And before I back track all the way to the nearest supply shop, does anyone know how to beat this thing?? I have equipped my guys with the rings that raise defense against light attacks, I have used the rings that revives them after they are killed, and I am sick of seeing "Game Over."

Is there any help out there???

I had a severely hard time with this guy, reason being I was 10lvls under the minimum to beat him. Use kongol in this fight, he can take more dmg and still dish it out. Put him on Rose always on the staff, you better have Kongol's spirit it comes in handy, I used Rose for Healing when she got into Dragoon form. Dart will just havbe to pull out all hes got. Sorry but that is all I got, hope it helps.

Actually you have to beat them all at once. In other words, you have to attack one untill his HP is way low. Then go to the next untill all of them are low. Then turn Dart into his fire Dragoon and do a whole party attack. These guys were cake once I figured this out. If you beat them one at a time, they'll come back.

Okay, last night I got out of my "I don't wanna play videogames" slump by tossing in my LoD game in my PS1. It was weird. But since I was stuck in that mood, I knew that I could get out of this with my favorite game.

As it stands, I am on the 3rd disk. I am in the Winglies' abandoned sky city and I am trying to kill this big hunk of rock that doesn't want to give up the Dragon Block Staff. I figured that I'd back track into the last town I was at and get more supplies, because I get so close to beating this stupid thing and then it whips out this devastating light attack that wipes out my whole party in one shot. But in this part of the game, there is no going back. There is no getting much needed supplies.

So, I can try to use Albert's Rose Storm on my party to counteract some of pain and suffering that this boss can inflict on my party, or I can start over. Which wouldn't be a bad thing since I fully intend on playing this game over again anyway.

For $10-15 you are getting way more than your money's worth. It's just one of those must have games, IMO.

Ugh. I went to gamefaqs to see if they still had the walk throughs. Nay nay. I cannot for the life of me remember the password at the castle (where Shana gets her Dragoon Spirit Stone) just beyond the dragon swamp. It's a 4 digit code. Oh well. I do remember that it starts witha  3. That means I have at least 500 different codes to succeed in getting up the stairs...

I would really like to play this game, but I don't know if I am willing to spend 10-15 dollars on ebay for it? Should I or Shouldn't I

It's a great game. It starts somewhat slow, but really picks up after Lavitz joins the party. The battle style is a lot like FFX. The main difference is you can't switch paty members mid battle. The upside is everyone gains EXP after a battle, so the ones on the sidelines can level up wuith relative ease.

And $15 is too high?? Eghads!! I paid $6 for my copy, but would have easily paid $20 for it. It's a great game that really sucks you in. And it stays fresh even though it's long. I'm at, what, 60 hours or so?? I am stuck in a Wingly sky city right now, and I actually have to start over. But it's not an issue for me at all.

Uh, yes. EXP. I don't know what the heck I was thinking... :-\

Yes everyone gains EXP. but the ones who weren't in the battle gain somewhat less Exp. This game is great. Dart, ride the mine cart trap o get all the digits.

Actually at Value City stores in my town they have this game available brand new for $4.99.

Huh?? I must have missed that because I had already gotten the code from Gamefaqs. Where is the mine cart at?

I think I remember that...doesn't it go around the outside of a house among other places...and you can see the code numbers at different places?

My LoD was destroyed during a typhoon in Guam a few years back, so i'm not exactly sure. I remeber you fall through a hole or something and as the mine cart ride goes on you pass by the numbers and Dart says them or something like that.

Guitarwizard remembers it, but it goes around the White Dragoon runs not a house. Does anyone else notice that Rose has an Orgasm everytime she does that life drain technique when she is in dragoon form?

The Astral Drain. I never thought of that before!! I'll definately look at Rose a bit differently from now on!! :lol

I've recently been after this game (I only heard we had it over here whilst browsing Amazon one morning). The cheapest price i've seen for it so far is £54. :-\

Maybe I should check my local Value City again. They did have them for $4.99 brand new (Greatest Hits) a few weeks back. Perhaps I could pick up a few copies and sell them to BV so he can sell them in the sites shop. I'd need to know however how many copies BV and everyone else here would want.

Retro, it sounds like you should get a U.S version and mod your PSX or PS2 to play it. Because in some places you can get them dirt cheap, and in others it's an arm and a leg.

I guess it all depends on whether the company/person selling it knows what they have...
