I've been playing some SSBM today, and just thought that a Link VS. Samus fight would be the coolest thing ever. They've gotta be Nintendo's toughest.

I would have to go with Samus. Whilst Link may have a physical advantage, Samus could just blast him from long distance, and I don't think even Link's shield is enough to withstand some of Samus's beams. She's also more protected with her power suit.
 
Yeah, I agree. While Link may be cool, Samus has hundreds, maybe even thousands of years of technological advantage. If Link could even penetrate Samus's shields it would be a miracle.
 
Hmm it would be a hard choice to make for me I reckon as they are both cool but Link is a bit more stronger + it depends on the person playing the character and how much they play them as when you select the character as a computer it will then act like as if your playing but not. As the computer copies your skills with the character
 
No, I don't mean on SSBM (Link is way better on that) just in real life. Well not real life cos they aren't real, but ya know.

I'd go with Link. If it's a matter of range we can't forget his bows, and I'm pretty sure light arrows can penetrate anything, as well as the master sword. I mean, it's not called a master sword because it's some sissy knife. Plus, Link's just way too bad@$$, seriously, he could tough out anything that Samus could throw at him, and once it came down to actual fighting, no way Samus could keep pace.

Seriously though, Link is cooler than Samus, but in a real world situation getting hit by a giant ball of energy is going to kill you.
 
Right, cuz Link can't cast a spell called Nayru's Love to deflect attacks, and he can't cast another spell called Din's Fire that incinerates practically everything. I mean, running bombs, bottled fairies, mirror shield, no way Samus can get around all that.
 
That's like saying an average soldier from medieval times could take on an average soldier from today and win. Really its more like comparing a medieval soldier to a soldier in like a few hundred years, but you get the point.
 
Hello, hero of time, not exactly your average soldier. I mean, he only saved the world by conquering hundreds of terrible beasts and monsters of all kinds. How many average soldiers have done that? And he's not from Medieval times, it's just fantastical "times", like, separate universe or some zen shat like that, so it's nothing like comparing a sword to a gun. It's more like comparing a light saber to a blaster, and we both know who's gonna win that battle.

Samus has numerously taken down entire armies of Space Pirates, Metroids, as well as destroyed some of the most bad-ass aliens you can imagine (Mother Brain, anyone?). She's not just saved one kingdom, she's wiped several PLANETS of their own evil. I think you're seriously overlooking her.

So this "blaster" just got an upgrade. :D
 
No way, you guys are all crazy. All Link would need to do to win would be to cast Nayru's love, and chop Samus's head off. Hell, he could probably even just use his frickin mirror shield and he'd be fine.

And I have seen the Last Samurai, and it's not the only proof that technology wins wars. In fact, it's not evidence of anything, it's Hollywood. But even so, the samurai's delt out way worse casualties than they took, and had they been smart and attacked in say a foresty area, or anywhere but flat plainland, they would have slaughtered everyone. As well, they did win the initial battle, and they could have walked away, regrouped, and kicked their @sses again, but they decided to go out in a blaze of glory, they knew they were going to die if they did that.

Link is just way too tough, and Samus relies too much on her technology to get through. It's no contest, Link is the greater warrior.
 
Well, if you are talking about them going at it with no weapons, armor, etc, Link would most likely win. as far as we know Samus has little talent outside of her suit.
