Longer PSP Battery Life........

Rumor has it that SONY is trying to make a battery that lasts even longer than the ones out now. i don't know if the info is credable or not but that would be sweet. yes-no?
 
Not surprising. Datel already has a third party battery that's supposed to last twice as long as the official Sony one so you had to figure it'd be just a matter of time before Sony went ahead and made their own.
 
The Datel double capacity battery is actually only a few bucks more expensive than the official Sony battery. I think once I wear mine down to where it's basically useless I'll probably go ahead and pick that one up. A battery is one thing I'd rather get new than used.

That would be quite nice, though I haven't really had many battery-related issues thus far. On my Canada trips I just plug the PSP into our power inverter and keep playing that way.

All I want is a good Final Fantasy game...
 
I have the Datel one which came with a (faulty) 4 gb hard drive, and it is quite useful (the Hard drive will be exchanged soon, but..... anyway). But just a word of warning: the Datel battery has twice the charge....because its literally twice the size. It comes with an alternate battery cover thing to house the monster. It lasts forever, but feels like your holding a small dog in your hands. if you have the external hard drive (which its mostly packaged with), it feels balanced, as the HD bulges out too. Otherwise, be carful.
