This is definitely an overlooked game. People bagged on it from day 1... while some of the Nintendo fans stated how good it was.
Luigi's mansion is a must play game.

I've gone back and beat the game a few times.

I really enjoyed this game!! I especially liked how the ghosts were rendered and the look of the whole game.

That game is fun, I rented it once and did not finish it. Since it is probably cheap now I would reccomend getting it. I would buy it if I saw it for $10-15

No kidding, getting capchured really doesn't make sense.

Anyways, how about this? How about it's Mario rescuing Luigi? Then it'd have a good reason for being Luigi's Mansion. Really, Mario was captured? And? It's not that it doesn't make sense, it's just not the normal way it works.
