I rented this game last week and it was ok. However, it is almost identical to Winning Eleven 7. THe same features and gameplay modes. Same actual gameplay controls and graphics. So if you own Winning 7 I wouldn't buy the new one. If you want a review on Winning 7 then go to www.gamespot.com.

I gave it a 3.5 out of 10 because the only thing you can do is say that you own the whole series.
Solid game but why buy it twice?

I think this game is the best soccer game made in history. It is similar to Winning Eleven 7 but if it works, work it. WE7 was an amazing game also. WE8 has improved on many aspects of the game which makes it crush FIFA and even beat its predecessors (sp?). Did you download any save files? I hope the fact that all the names are wrong didnt affect your rating of the game. If you can get an Xport, it makes a world of difference if you really are into soccer, like me :D. I have never had this much fun playing a sports game in my life. I almost forgot to mention the editing mode. This game is so cool, you can even add yourself into the game. I just think you made a istake on rating this game a 3.5. I think it definitley deserves a 9.4 or higher. IMO
