Madden's 20th Anniversary for Madden 09', gets Collector's Edition

EA announced today that Madden NFL 09, the 20th Anniversary of its exclusive NFL license-holding franchise, will touch down in stores August 12. The company states there'll also be a 20th Anniversary Collector's Edition of the game featuring Madden NFL 09 and NFL Head Coach 09, along with "an extensive library of exclusive bonus video content" for $90.

So, let's make a Hail Mary pass and wish the best for Madden '09. Initial data on last year's Madden sales showed consumers weren't that into the series anymore. Maybe this'll be the year the franchise gets a major update bringing gamers in who don't just buy the series like sheep year after year ... stop laughing! One can dream, can't they?

I'll be picking up the Collector's Edition which includes Madden 09', NFL Head Coach 09', and the bonus video content. Why? Well because of Madden 09' and the bonus content, duh ( :lol). Although nothing dramatic happens anymore yearly in Madden, but I'm an avid football fan and therefor, pick up Madden every year. I just have to have the Collector's Edition though.
 
I forgot...didnt one of the PS2 Madden Collector's Edition...actually contain a direct port of the Genesis Madden 93?...2005 I believe...

Crazy how it's bee 20 years...I remember the first one on PC...and then the Genesis had the first Madden in 1990
 
Yeah, I'm with Cherry, 20 years is a great accomplishment, but $90?
 
I don't think I've ever played a Madden game in my entire life, lol. Only football games I liked were the simple ones like Tecmo Bowl :D This sounds cool for the fans, though.

i agree, i love football, but i play NFL 2k6 just fine.
