Today I was looking all over for an XBOX Live headset for my roomie. GameStop was out, so we went to Best Buy. They were also out but they did have something really cool: A DS kiosk!!! :woot
I almost didn't notice it because it's kind of small and it was in the place where a platinum SP used to be. But I did a double take and I was like, "Whoa! It's a DS!" So my roomie and I rushed to it (no one was playing! for shame!) and tried it out. We had of course played a DS at E3, but that was the first build and this was the final one, so there were some changes. For one thing, it's a lot sleeker than it was, and cooler looking. And it seems smaller than I remember.
Anyway, it had the Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt demo in it and I started playing. The controls are SO easy to get used to. The way it was set up was that the d-pad moved you and the stylus was to look around. It's like FPS style.
I wanted to keep playing but we still had to go find a XBL headset, so I reluctantly tore myself away from the DS.
I am SO excited for the DS!!!!!!!!!!! It's going to rock.
