What Cherry said. I didn't mean to sound rude but, that's the way it is. Plus, he could have put music/videos on his 360 hard drive.

FrakAttack said:Why would anyone pay $15 to download old games when you can buy the used discs for $8-10?
Fr0dus Maximus said:convenience maybe.
Hinesmdc said:Isn't it more convenient to just buy the game than to have to buy Microsoft points, type the huge number in, wait for it to download, and eventually play?
Fr0dus Maximus said:Do that all at home or go to store, see if store has it, store doesn't have it, goes to different store, gets it, takes home, disc doesn't work "WTH?!?!", goes out again, returns, finds out that was the last copy, UGH!!!!. That's all a single situation that may or may not happen to you. Sure it's cheaper to drive to a store and buy it but, more convenient? No. All you need to do is get the Microsoft points, which you can easily just be like "yo XBL can I haz pointz?" and it'll be like "Here ya go nub" and then download. Not everyone needs to get the Microsoft point cards. Plus, having a game installed on your hard drive = less likely hood for it not to work, a lazy way to start the game, and all around more convenience. That's all.
Fr0dus Maximus said:orly naow? The games aren't guaranteed to work all the time.
Yeah, the only thing DLC games has over discs is they can't be scratched.FrakAttack said:Well, I'm always hunting for old games in the wild anyway so it's not a problem. Besides, I already have such a huge backlog of old Xbox titles that I haven't even touched yet, including all of the Xbox Originals that I'm interested in. Plus, I would much rather own a physical disc. There are so many problems with downloadable content being tied to both your Gamertag and your console that make the "ownership" of such games questionable and problematic to transfer to other hard drives or consoles.

Dart said:Eh. I guess I am a bit too old school for downloading games versus going to a store and buying games. The first thing I do when I buy a game is read the manual. Can't do that with a downloaded game. I also have a habit of seeing what else is in the shelf. But hey, to each his own.
Oh, and yes, Hines is correct. Game Stop guarantees their games to work. Will they all actually work? No. But they guarantee that they will or they will find one that does.
CreepinDeth said:How so? I know there are currently problems with Xbox Live Arcade games (Which they're currently implementing a solution for.) But I haven't heard of any problems with DLC since you can always re-download them since they're only tied to your GT.
FrakAttack said:A lot of people have complained, but still no response from Microsoft so far. So, my advice...buy discs whenever possible.
