Man, I want a 360 now.

20GB should be fine if you're not downloading a bunch of movies or Xbox Originals. Why would anyone pay $15 to download old games when you can buy the used discs for $8-10? I may get a 120GB drive someday when the price drops, but space is not a problem yet.

Isn't it more convenient to just buy the game than to have to buy Microsoft points, type the huge number in, wait for it to download, and eventually play?

Do that all at home or go to store, see if store has it, store doesn't have it, goes to different store, gets it, takes home, disc doesn't work "WTH?!?!", goes out again, returns, finds out that was the last copy, UGH!!!!. That's all a single situation that may or may not happen to you. Sure it's cheaper to drive to a store and buy it but, more convenient? No. All you need to do is get the Microsoft points, which you can easily just be like "yo XBL can I haz pointz?" and it'll be like "Here ya go nub" and then download. Not everyone needs to get the Microsoft point cards. Plus, having a game installed on your hard drive = less likely hood for it not to work, a lazy way to start the game, and all around more convenience. That's all.

Or....you could run the store availability search at Gamestop.com....who's games are all guaranteed to work.

no they aren't. sure there's a low possibility of them not working but, I have come across games that do not work that have been from Gamestop. Hell, even some of the new games that they have don't work sometimes.

Well, I'm always hunting for old games in the wild anyway so it's not a problem. Besides, I already have such a huge backlog of old Xbox titles that I haven't even touched yet, including all of the Xbox Originals that I'm interested in. Plus, I would much rather own a physical disc. There are so many problems with downloadable content being tied to both your Gamertag and your console that make the "ownership" of such games questionable and problematic to transfer to other hard drives or consoles.

My "friend" who does exist and isn't lieing (about this particular instance) does have plenty of space on his hard drive for the games he owns. I found out he almost had it maxed because he had a bunch of demos and whatnot on there he was too lazy to delete. Still though, the Army of Two demo is over one gig. A 20 gig hard drive may be all you need throughout this generation, but it will require a lot of file management.

For myself, personally, I would rather get a bigger HD. Less hassle, less worry, and in the long run, well worth it.

Yeah, the only thing DLC games has over discs is they can't be scratched.

Eh, I really don't mind not having the physical disc. With DLC I have more room for other things, don't need to worry about disc management, and it's more convenient for me. But, about the qoute that put up I really don't see that many people playing the games that are offered besides on their own console.

How so? I know there are currently problems with Xbox Live Arcade games (Which they're currently implementing a solution for.) But I haven't heard of any problems with DLC since you can always re-download them since they're only tied to your GT.

Eh. I guess I am a bit too old school for downloading games versus going to a store and buying games. The first thing I do when I buy a game is read the manual. Can't do that with a downloaded game. I also have a habit of seeing what else is in the shelf. But hey, to each his own.

Oh, and yes, Hines is correct. Game Stop guarantees their games to work. Will they all actually work? No. But they guarantee that they will or they will find one that does.

Same here. Heck, I don't even like to buy games online unless a case and manual are guaranteed!

Any downloadable content from Xbox Live is attached to both your Gamertag and console, so if you move that content to another console, such as being sent a replacement unit or upgrading to an Elite, you can no longer use that content offline. It's a verification process to keep people from duplicating downloads. This includes all games and several add-ons that patch or alter in some way a game's code. For example, if you move that Oblivion content you DLed for any reason to another 360, you can no longer play your updated version of Oblivion offline.

A lot of people have complained, but still no response from Microsoft so far. So, my advice...buy discs whenever possible.

I was able to give some of my friends Geometry Wars by having my GT on their systems, though. But that was a long time ago.

I was just thinking that I must be cool because all of my stuff still works offline, even though I upgraded from the 20 gig HD to the 120. But then I realized I'm still using the same console. :lol
