Mario DDR is under "limited quanity" they say...yet some say Nintendo discontinued this...

I just re-read that article.... they said shipping should resume once they can make more (demand was high).

So, who is right?

Could it be that they havent gotten the update and just assume that it's discontinued?

ugh... can anyone find one of these in store for normal price? GNG?  can you get me one through Game Crazy?

@ Creepin.... there is always that chance, but I BELIEVE Nintendo told them it was discontinued.

Corporate emailed us about DDR Mario Mix. The email said that Nintendo discountinued DDRMM because "unfortunately they were unable to secure enough dance pads." There was no mention of it possibly being re-continued once more dance pads were made. They also mentioned that the DC was totally out, so it's unlikely that GameStop will get any more copies of DDR Mario Mix.

I picked up a copy at Wal-Mart, though. They still had six left (five now). If you really want one, I could probably hook you up. My roommates all work there so I can still get a discount.

The stupid thing is that GameStop is now making dance pads that are compatible with DDR Mario Mix, and we don't have the game. I think Nintendo should just release the game without the dance pad and see what third party dance pads come out.

how much was it? and would it be hard to get me one?
I am going to check one last time around town... and if I cannot get one, I am trying to find someone that can get one for me.... I was going to get this game (when it was available 2 weeks ago), but I delayed because I was busy with school... now look what is happening :lol

It was like $49.96 at Wal-Mart, minus the 10% employee discount. They don't know about the shortage, apparently. But I don't think they could jack the price up even if they wanted to.

since you work there... would it be possible to hold one for me until I can make sure they wouldn't be around town here?

I checked a few places today... nothing so far, I'll know by tomorrow.

yeah, I was going to brind 24 in 2 weeks ago  ::)  but I got sidetracked with school... and now they are all gone from all the suppliers....  :hh

:lol .. my luck hasn't been good in '05... fortune has vaguely shown its face this year.

thanks.

Yeah, I was actually waiting until Dec. 9 to get it. That's when GameStop employees get 25% off instead of the usual 15%. But then we got that email and I was like Uh-Oh!

I don't actually work at Wal-Mart anymore. But I'll have my roommates keep on eye on the stock at Wal-Mart, though. If it gets down to like one or two, I'll see what I can do to have them hold it.

But honestly, I'm thinking right now that it's only specialty stores that are out. If you try Wal-Marts or Targets in your area, you might still get lucky.

Erm... I may sound like I'm living under a rock, but what is DC? Dance Craze?

ok... another rumor has just arose (coming out of Best Buy).... I was told by them today "we were told that Nintendo is in some copyright problems.... well ... they basically used the name without permission."

Now.... I am not sure if I believe that because I thought Konami helped develope it (or Nintendo gave them the rights to use Nintendo characters).

Anyway... there is another rumor in the mix.

no kidding! I cannot imagine that Nintendo would do that though.... Whem reading up on this game, Nintendo and Konami were working together as Namco and Nintendo did for Soul Calibur 2 (with providing Link to be in the game).

I hope someone comes forth and states what the heck is up.
