Mario Party 7.... impressions?

Mario Party...an example of a great game, with a refreshing new style, whored out to astronomical levels by Nintendo. It's a shame.


IMO, MP1 and MP 2 are some of the greatest games of all time. MP3 was ok...the rest were utter crap.
 
I would want more of these actuallly.... EXCEPT they need to bring in some fresh ideas... graphics.... music... and give the game an overhaul.

I agree. Give the series a break for a year or two and then release one that has even more fun games. Also they should only release about two of them for the next gen.
 
I liked the first one. I played it for days on end to get everything. The second one just didn't seem to thave the same flare. I played like 5 or 6 and it is crap. But someone must be buying these games and so they keep making them. And they need to stop. Seriously. Just stop.

If they don't wanna do that, than go with the overhaul idea.
 
I'm agreeing with the overhaul idea...cause right now..whatever they're doing isn't working. It all seems the same to me. The 1st one was an excellent game when you had friends over. It's lost it's flare over the recent mario parties.
 
Well, I played one of the later Mario Party games and the maps were ok, but it was the same system. Then the mini games were rediculously easy. Press A over and over again. Theres just nothing to it. i don't know what they can really do to redeem themselves.

Hold a bonfire in which they burn every mario party except the 1st one. Invite everyone and their family to attend. I think that would be the only thing they could do to redeem themselves. :lol

Hmm...yea, that one too. It didn't get boring till after that one. I remember all the hype bout MP2 cause of the first one's success and If I'm correct, I think it lived up to that hype.
 
Yeah, with the second one, they did add things (I forget exactly what) but it was enough for this one to be unique from the first one.

I don't think its quite that bad. I just think some idiots out there are buying thiis game and so they think they should mak emore and so they just put the same old stuff in there and sell it again, and the same moron buys it again. And its a vicious cycle.
 
The mario party series is the ultimate party game. I've the game cube ones and have played most of the other mario party games and I'd say this is one of the best. The best new feature (other than a mother load of mini games this time) is the fact the bonuses change in the end which totally screws with you're head, because you have no idea who is going to win (unlike the other 6 games.) It may be more of the same with some glitz but it's still mega fun.
