So did I. It was my favorite RPG ...well since Baldur's Gate 2, another Bioware game. :lol

Your uncle sounds cool. My uncles are like all 50 and aren't into video games. :-\

EDIT: Ok dont worry looked it up on Wikipedia daaamn this game sounds awesome and looks cool.

EDIT: That totally sucks when they do that Spore was supposed to come out some time November this year but its been pushed back till 2008 or 2009 >:( >:( >:(.

No annoyance. Mass Effect is the new RPG from Bioware (kotor, Jade Empire, BG series...). I'll give you a link to the official site if you want to look through it a little. I recommend watching the X06 and E306 videos that are on the page I'm gonna give you and see how you like it...

I say it's a good decision. Their previous date was, what, early September? Chances are with a release date like that, many people would have passed on it because they would rather just wait for Halo 3.

Now November, that's smart. It gives enough time for the newness of Halo 3 to wear off, and it's right before Christmas, which means even if the launch isn't that big, the follow up sales should remain steady.

Firstly, they didn't have a release date yet, secondly it was supposed to be out by now by early "predictions." That's why it was such a disappointment for me. Plus, I won't have a ton of time to play this with school and all. That's why I wanted it in the summer. So I could play without any other responsibility. :-\

Is it just me, or do the graphics for this game seem to get worse everytime they release new footage/screenshots?

The E3 trailer, cool as it was, didn't have any of the visual sheen of early showings of the game.

Not really. I've watched all the trailers (several times :lol), and I think the first E3 trailer looked kind of blocky, and it seems like they've started to clean that up. It seems as if they've moore or less improved for me...

The graphics are incredible in Mass Effect.

And November won't be a hard wait with games like Halo 3 and Bioshock coming.

Definitely, Microsoft has more than enough to keep us satisfied for the next several months. This is just going to be another fine gem of a collector's piece. :)

I would say it will probably win, considering this year hasn't been much for RPG's.

Most people aren't giving it much of a shot, but I'm thinking it could end up being GOTY. ;D

Halo 3 will probably win a lot of GOTY's because its really popular, but for something like an editor's choice award, I think Mass Effect might actually win. Halo 3 probably won't win many of the editor's choice awards, just because it really doesn't look like its changed much sine Halo 2, and I think that factor alone may put it out of contention there.

EDIT: Plus, Halo 2 didn't ompletely sweep the GOTY's either...
