Anyone who is a Neo Geo fan knows of the Metal Slug series... even those who were not brought up on the Neo Geo should know what Metal Slug is and WHY you should have started playing it 8 years ago. It's a FANTASTIC GAME!!
Well... I recieved a notice today from Nintendo that Metal Slug is NOW on the Wii Virtual Console!! And for a steal of $9.
Folks... let me break this down... the Neo Geo CD game costs $65+. It has cost buyers as high as $150-175. The Neo Geo AES cart of Metal Slug still sells for over $1000. Sure, you can get this version on the Saturn...etc... for $38-60, and a Playstation version, but nothing compares to the original Neo Geo version.
Even with the cost of Metal Slug Anthology being $40 (which in my opinion is the mother of all deals)... $9 for Metal Slug is a good price. But you almost have to come from the Neo Geo to totally appreciate that price. To collectors and dealers from back in the day... that is a steal.
If anyone has bought this VC game and has played the original Neo Geo game... is it dead on?
