Metroid Prime Hunters

It's out today over here! 5/5/06

I'm going to wait until i'm set up with Wi-Fi though. Anyone played it? If so what's the single player like?

Single Player wasn't the usual Metroid cup-o-tea. It was really fast and short, IMO... My record time finishing it is 2 hours 39 minutes.

Multiplayer's really good. You get rankings, and when you face people and win you take ranking points from them, the amount depending on you rank. You start out on a 1 star ranking. I'm a 5 (the highest, shameless brag) xD

There are two main types of control - stylus and dual.

In stylus, you use the Left Trigger button to fire, and control using the left Dpad (all done with the left hand). With your right hand you use the stylus to maneuver your hunter.

In dual mode, you play without the stylus. You use the left dpad to walk, L button to fire, Select to scope (with sniper), R to jump and the four buttons on the right to maneuver your hunter.

It's really fun. Maya, you should get Wifi! I wanna face you :D

I'm a 5 star :) I also made another account (thank you action replay for letting me have multiple accounts xD) but it corrupted :(

I know good players on both sides, so I guess it's preference.

I personally use Stylus mode. I'm a sniper; I need that extra accuracy.

I use the stylus. It's way more accurate. I love getting headshots on the other hunters.

It just feels so intuitive, too. I can't wait for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption on the Wii. If it controls anything like Hunters, it will be awesome.

I actually use my thumb... I believe it was :lol or maybe it was the stylus... it works pretty well and is intuitive.

I can't believe no one else has this game to play via wifi!!! what's up?!

Bv :hat

Haha. There's no such thing as cheap in this game. :P

Why do you think Trace is cheap, anyhow? He has a crap affinity weapon attribute... but it is the sniper so he can dominate on maps without a sniper. But still, he's not cheap. If anything he's a specialist character; you have to know how to use him.

Spire's an up-close person. My bet is that you think Trace is cheap because recently you were battling it out against someone up close, then from nowhere an Imperialist shot came out of nowhere, stealing your target, or even taking your life. Am I right? :P

Well that's what Trace does. And that's why I love him. :) Besides I prefer to play on Alinos Perch because then everyone has a sniper.

I tried this game out. It seemed like a lot of fun. I might have to buy it so I can play online with you guys.
