MGS4 on Xbox 360, 12-14 months late

But don't forget MGS2 on PS2 vs Xbox. Xbox obviously had more graphical power yet MGS2 played like shi...crap, on the Xbox. Same with Silent Hill 2. Ports are usually inferior as far as I am concerned, but that is just my opinion.

And didn't that come a year later too?

I have question though... How is gunna RE5 gunna play out on the 360? RE wasn't even on the original xbox was it?

You can do that with the 360 controller as well, it's called rumble.

From the exact direction where it came from? Cause with the 360's rumble it just rumbles the whole controller not specific areas.

Then what, may I ask, did?

Heavenly Sword, Crysis, Assassin's Creed, Uncharted, Bioshock, that enough for you?

EDIT: Crap... sorry for the double post.

And what was the better version? The gamecube version. I just didnt post in the thread because I already knew that this was gunna happen like 6 months ago. And you know what I don't care what MGS4 is coming out on. PS3 also gets Metal Gear Online next year as well. Plus look at it from a development standpoint. Release on the PS3 first, work on the 360 version so the texture quality at least rivals the output of a Nintendo 64, then release on 360 a YEAR later. Oh I guess we also have to get the DLC from PSN for MGS4 also.

EDIT: Thats just my 2 cents.

Fix'd.

And the 360 is more powerful, contrary to ill-informed beliefs.

The PS3 version will be out a full year before the 360 one, and I can only see the hardcore anti-Sony people waiting that long. Most hardcore MGS fans will not care to wait a whole year. They'll get a PS3 for that game rather than wait a year for it to come out on 360.

Definitely.

@fr0dus, please don't bring PC games into this.

heavenly sword, assassins creed, and certainly not uncharted do not even come close to gears in terms of detail. this really isnt an opinion...i mean, just LOOK at gears in high def. Assassins creed kinda has the gears thing going on, sticking with the neutral color palet. heavenly sword has a great brightness factor, it really jumps out at you, but as for detail itself, gears takes the prize.

as for bioshock....for defending the PS3's graphics, i'm not really sure you mentioned this.......

:)

well this is a PS3 and Xbox 360 graphical power discussion. PC's will always be more powerful, because you can upgrade them. with consoles, you get what you get.

as for animations, have you seen mass effect?

EDIT - nice baiting statement, trk :)

And people like me, who really aren't all that crazy about Metal Gear. (I'm hoping I'll have a PS3 by 2009, when it sounds like MGS 4 is coming out on the 360, though)

PC games are on a completely different level from console games, don't lower them to console standards.
Yeah, don't soil the royal blood of PC games, so to speak. :lol

(that was a joke, before someone starts freaking out about it)

Great facial animations there. Too bad the little bugs and hiccups kind of messed up some great graphics. :-\

it has it's framerate problems, as all games do
Yes, there were some framerate issues, but, in addition, the textures often took a long time to load, so you would be looking at the incredibly detailed face of some character, only it took 15 seconds to get the detail on there.

but I there was quite a few glitches in the game. On Noveria for one.
I was getting the Serum or whatever for the sick patients. I get it, an Asarian comes and what do u know it completely goes past the Dialog and goes into the combat. But, wait it doesnt end there. It goes into the combat but, it keeps the dialog options and it froze but, the enemies keep attacking but I cant attact or get rid of the dialog options. I had to restart and it was autosaved. And I missed the whole dialog and the combat.
That was horrible but not one of my main problems with the game.

Am I the only one that wants to use this thread to discuss how excited I am for this game, rather than just fight about game politics?

It's up to the next posters on whether this thread gets locked down. No more crap arguments about the PS3 vs. the 360. It's going to about Metal Gear only.

GMYOURGONNASTARTANOTHERARGUMENTDONT- ah, too late.

I hope it does, though
