Michael Vick to Plead Guilty to Dogfighting Charges Next Monday

It's funny that sports stars are already paid way more than necessary, and yet some of them still feel a need to do stuff like this on the side for extra money, only to have all of it taken away because what they are doing is illegal.

Yeah, I'm also curious as to why they would do that. Also, Vick has over 10 million dollars. $250,000 won't even scratch the surface of what he's worth. I wish they'd bump up the fine for him.

People, just in case you were wondering and didn't want to read into the story, Vick hosted the dog fights at HIS house. He also participated in various dog fights in other states as well. Punishments for dogs that lost? To name a couple, hanging and drowning. Eight executions Vick himself participated in!
 
Either way, though, I doubt he'll be able to play in the NFL again. I hope he doesn't. Then he'll lose a lot more than just $250,000.
 
Unfortunately, experts are saying it will be just like Tank Johnson. He went to prison and only had to serve a suspension after prison. That's what Goodell's expected to do. :-\
 
You would think so, but the NFL, like all sports, are all about politics. He's a good player, although not a good person. They'll want him back so he can make "headlines" and "profits" again.
 
There's a lot more fan outrage for this, though. If the NFL were to take him back, I'm sure it would cause a lot of backlash, especially from animal rights activists.

It's not for the money, it for the "high", so to speak
 
I'd say put him in an arena with another of his cohorts involved in this abhorred practice and make them battle it out, mwahahahahahah. sick piece of no good human garbage, i'd like to see him chained down to a board in the center of a public area.
