No, once a game isnt beaten doesnt mean that it is outdate, what a false assumption to make. But definitely when comparing Diablo 2 to the graphical technicle standards of todays current and recent technology the game is olde. graphics are never important, even if they are old....by the way is spelled "old" way to go a foreigner has to correct you :

I was saying that the game as a whole was olde graphics wise, gameplay wise, sounds wise.OLDE games should never be played.

The argument of graphics vs gameplay is olde and dated. Graphics are never important but graphics are a main part of a game. Gameplay is always important but if a game has horrible visuals then the game is punished severely. Totally confusing logic if you ask me.

oh really? then i hope you have not bought any hannah montana game because that has horrible visuals..

emm no sorry but i still play super mario bros no matter how old it is, graphics can bite me, they are uninportant, there games with great graphics that i really don't like (gears of wars for example) but there are games with great gameplay and not so good graphics that i love (legend of dragoon)

Look im only going to say this but:

Graphics depends on the system and its technological capabilities. 
Super Mario Bros-Amazing for its time and look on the system it originated on.  Just because it is not "REalistic HD visuals" does not imply horriple graphics. 

One cant compare SMB to a PS3 or 360 title.

One cant do cross system/cross age analysis as each system can do only within its own limits. 

For Diablo 2, Amazing graphically for the PC's that it came out at original time, now that technology prowess in PC's have increased we cant really say that it has bad graphics.  We can say that they are old graphics for computers with those qualifications arent on the mainstream of peoples pc's anymore.

that is contradicting.... becuase acording to you i can play super mario bros because at its time it had good graphics but now you tell me playing diablo 2 is wrong because today pc games look better??? that just is completely ridiculous, 1. my computer can play it 2. i like it, 3. age is not an issue.

whatever i'm just going to ignore you and go back to my diablo 2 game and maybe play utlima on-line 1 later on.

Guys, please stop. Again, both sides have made their points. Online games that no longer receive updates by the makers will become outdated. I think all of us can agree on that. I think the argument spouting here is between those who think old, outdated games should not be played vs people who still enjoy them as they are.

On topic: It really does depend on how old it is. For instance, I definitely love an MMORPG called City of Heroes still (just renewed my subscription a couple of days ago)... even though it's over four years old now. It's addicting, lol.
