Here's the deal... chill it out or you won't be allowed to use chat. I have it there for fun... if it's going to be abused and people aren't going to follow the rules... forget using it.

I don't care if it's a heated argument or not... that's not an excuse for ignoring the rules of the board!

I am a bit disappointed that people just can't get a long anyway....

maybe chat needs to come down for a week to get people to cool off.  I am not happy about the chat logs I've been reading when no one has been around...

All of the logs are stored. He can read everything that goes on in them. The reason they should be saved by members, though, is so they can report them to other mods or keep them for future reference.

He means when there are no moderators around to monitor the chat. Honestly, I don't think it's an issue.

If someone doesn't like what they're reading - exit. Simple as that. Don't baby this place down any more than it already is.

You do realize these kinds of mechanics are what made Hitler rise to power, right? ;-)

Man, that's a double-edged sword. I get what you're saying, but at the same time, I don't think someone should feel like they have to "exit" just because someone else is being a jerk. Most of us here are adults, or at least mature in attitude if not in age, and should know better than to be jerks.

There's a damn ignore button. Use it, not censorship.



And as far as the country comment goes - I have left before and wouldn't think twice about doing it again if the instance arose.

How about this trick.

BV owns this board and hence can establish whatever rule he wants whether you like it or not. Censorship on his board is his perogative. Take it or leave it.

I have been trying to solve this prblem for a week now. I've read through the opinions of Mega and Mrs_enigma andused the 'chat save' from Sartori to work it all out. What happened is appaling and disgraceful. I asked Mega to appologise and you too Sartori. Hate each other, but don't take your hate to the group. Leave it at home.

If there are any more prblems where and argument has gotten out of hand rcently, tell me and I WILL sort it out and come up with a suitable way to end it.

Mega has never apologized to me, nor will I to him. I owe him nothing. Not a god darn thing.

How about this "trick" Don't bother talking to me anymore. I've left before and I'd do it again in a heartbeat if anything like what happened before occured. The moderators (at the time) (GRINDER I'M LOOKIKNG AT YOU, SHOE IN) were way too high on their own power. If that happens again, I'm gone.
