More EA Servers Shutting Down

http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/17/next-wave-of-ea-game-server-shutdowns-detailed/#continued

The list of game server shutdowns back in January was pretty extensive in its own right, but EA's not done retiring more of its legacy titles from online play. Over at EA.com, the full list of server shutdowns details the next wave of house cleaning, starting on April 15 with Burnout 3: Takedown for PS2 and Army of Two for PS3 (in Asia only). Then, on March 15, additional titles will no longer support online functionality, including Def Jam for PS3 and Xbox 360, Mercenaries 2 for PC and Lord of the Rings: Conquest for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

For the full list of games going offline and when, head on past the break.

Do they usually hold on to PS3 servers longer than 360 servers?

Honestly I don't know. But since the PS3 is a current gen console, it seems a little odd to me to shut down servers this early in its life cycle. 360 servers do stay up a while since it's paid for by XBL subscriptions, but not sure about PS3 servers.

I may be confused or not reading what you're saying right, but you do know they're shutting down PS3 and 360 servers at the same time, right?

I see. I misunderstood then. I thought some of these were just for PS3. I know there are some 360 servers going down, but I thought it was only for the original Xbox titles.
