MK: D is looking good! There's like extra fatalities and everything. Plus, online! :woot

I just found out yesterday that there's actually going to be a Collector's Edition, which is $10 more than the regular version. But the Collector's Edition has extra stuff:

• Special Edition Packaging
• An “arcade perfect” version of Mortal Kombat 1
• Comprehensive “The History of Mortal Kombat” from inception through MK: Deception
• Additional 15 character video bios (25 total)
• Serialized limited edition trading card

I think this MK is going to be pretty cool.
 
Thats sweet! BTW, what's with games and Limited editions anyway? Halo 2 and and now this? I hope it doesn't become a trend..........
 
Well, if it becomes a trend, the average price of a new game will jump up from $50 to $60+. I mean, if some games do it, that's fine. I just don't want to be shelling out 10 extra bucks to get the whole deal.
 
Did anyone end up getting Mortal Kombat: Deception? I'm pretty curious about it. I liked the trailers that I saw before the game came out.
 
Ugh.....Not very good reviews for this one :-\.....Die hard MK fans will prolly enjoy it, but it sounds to me {and I could be wrong} that casual fight fans, like myself, may want to stay away.......
 
I got the game a few days ago. I have to say that its a pretty darn good game. I'm no die hard MK fan, actually I kinda hated the old ones. But this one plays very well, much smoother than the last ones I played. They have really made the gameplay deeper, adding combo breakers ala Killer Instinct, three fighting styles that can be changed on the fly, and it just seems to move smoother.

It has some cool features like a puzzle game, MK chess, and an adventure game..which is nothing special but you need to play through it to unlock most of the hidden characters, stages, and outfits. Its a decent little quest with an original character that ages as you progress and learns new moves ect. Took me about 5-7 hours to completely unlock everything.

And its got alot of the old fighters back, including a very cool zombified undead Liu Kang. Overall I guess I'd rate it maybe a 7 outta 10.

That would have been very nice indeed. They are all in the main quest/adventure mode, so its kinda weird they aren't playable.
