Yesterday and today, Earthbound fans all over the states have been taking part in a massive rally calling Nintendo asking them about Earthbound on the DS or VC & a localization of Mother 3 in the US. I myself called Nintendo just afew minutes ago, and told 'em how much I wanted Earthbound on VC & Mother 3 on Wiiware/DS, and asked if it was going to come out on VC/DS. She said "There actually aren't any plans right now for that, but it's crazy that you should ask, because we've had like a million people call and ask about that game today!" So this isn't going unnoticed. The last time this happened was with Master Quest, and just 500 calls got Nintendo to release it. If you are an Earthbound fan, please do your part.
If you love playing as Ness or Lucas in Super Smash Bros Brawl, then why not try playing as them in their own games, Earthbound & Mother 3? Unfortunately, neither of these games are available on Virtual Console or DS yet... Earthbound is only available as an SNES cart, (which is expensive & hard to find) and Mother 3 was never released in the US!
So if you've got love for Ness & Lucas, call or e-mail Nintendo and tell them you want a VC release of Earthbound, and Mother 3 on Wiiware!

Or e-mail them @ http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/webform.jsp
I only copy pasta'd this, I have yet to call Nintendo myself. At this time, Nintendo has received about 2,000 calls alone, and probably tons more emails.
