My new PC!

Ben

Visual
I have finally saved up my allouance and grade money high enough for a better PC for my self! Right now the only option for me is my family computer (Great specs, but always tied up). A few days ago my Pentium 2 crashed, this was the time to convince my parents I needed a new computer.

SO...!!!

I pulled out my savings, searched my wallet, collected "borrowed" money, and finally asked my sister for $150 to complete the set. A total of $651.05 (shipping and handling included in there) which is my finall bill for this awsome computer (for it's money):

  • Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor 630 w/HT Technology (3.0GHz,800FSB)
  • Genuine Windows® XP Media Center 2005 Edition
  • 1GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 400MHz -2DIMMs
  • Dell USB Keyboard and Dell Optical USB Mouse
  • 17 inch E773 (16 inch viewable) Conventional CRT
  • Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 900
  • 80GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (7200RPM)
  • Integrated 2.0 Channel High Definition Audio
  • Dell A525 30 Watt 2.1 Stereo Speakers with Subwoofer
  • Optical Mouse with keyboard
  • Some other junk XD

Yeah the graphics card and stuff are not top of the line, but for $651.05, this computer is a GREAT deal!
Also, with the current deals Dell was offering, I saved over $250 ;)

Just thought I would announce my PC gaming era comming soon :D
(I dont have a job [i'm only 14], never did extra chores or nothing. So the money is a lot to me :P)

Too bad it's about a week untill it arrives, i'm in dept to my sister $150, AND I dont have money for sweet games -.-

ONE MORE THING. I MIGHT be around more sence ill be playing PC games now...

Anyone reccomend great PC game titles to buy? (Already got Diablo I + II + Expantion :P)

Aww man. You shoulda asked me to buy it for ya, my dad gets 20% off of all Dell stuff through his company.

Nice haul though. If you had a better graphics card, you'd be set.

Dang. That's cool stuff. And way better than my new PC. But then again I never play PC or online games so I didn't need all the high tech hardware.

And don't freak about how UPS or Fedex unloads your computer. It won't harm it. They tend to throw it off the truck and let it land in the street.

Oh man, another 20% i coulda saved >.< Oh well...

I guess the graphics card aint that bad, it has 224 MB Memory... Better than most :P

Yeap, looks good to me.

P.S. When you get it all setup run DXDIAG and make sure all your DIRECTX stuff is working properly, it's essential for gaming! And I'm not sure if you are going to be playing old DOS games but XP does not have a DOS mode so you'll have to download DOSbox {it's free of course}. For games pick up Morrowind:GOTY with the construction set, this will keep you busy for a couple years hehe. Happy gaming to you :)

Ya I knew all that already ;)

Thanks anyways :P

Wondered how your computer was 100 dollars less than mine, it was your video card. Sadly, pretty much every game on the market now requires something made by ATi or nVidia, so be sure to upgrade it soon.

I dont have the money and I ow my sister 150 still >.< Guess I should get a job soon if I wanna play some games :P

I'm jeleous, my computer can only support about three games all together and they have to be made before 2005 or else the requirements are too high
