My Xbox 360 died today...*tear*

I shall cry for you as I did for Mega. :'(

I'm starting to doubt how much longer my 360 will last (had it since September). Its not exactly in great shape and it stalls a lot, especially when I play Oblivion, and now with all of your guys problems, I don't think I'll have my 360 for much more than another year.. :'(
 
I was re-reading mega's post and my 360 died almost identically as his, minus the tech support guy
 
Mine is doing that stupid Gears of War thing...so yeah I'm like Oh no! It's already my second 360. I would hate to have to get a third.

It's so retarded, it's like, Gears will start up just fine if I'm not signed into any GamerTags, but when I bring up my GamerTag it pops up with "There's an update available for this game" thing and then when I try to update it another message pops up and says that it is unable to download the update. WTH. I'm going to try that x x lb rb x thing and see what happens with that.

wOw.. that was a bargain.. they were used games i suppose. I just bought POP: WW brand new for $10. I search for bargains all the time. mostly on ebay and at local pawns.
 
yesterday i popped in (you guessed it) oblivion and a message came up sayin ''please insert this disc into an xbox 360 console''

lol I was just wondering cause I was gonna try and help if it was still saying that. When I actually have free time, I'm going to start playing Oblivion again.
 
yea i hit 70 hours last night, but my game has a glitch in it that wont let me advance in the mages guild or theives guild. what happened is there was a glitch in the vampire cure quest. when i went to tsee the count of skingrad, to help his wife, there is a glitch that wont allow me to talk to anybody in that room. i just cant talk to them. so in the mages guild quest where i have to meet him at 2 am behind the farm, he doesnt show up, cause hes still waiting for the cure to vampirism! as for the theives guild, im stuck in the quest where i need to deliver the letter regaurding rex to countess umbranox of anvil, and no matter what time of day i talk to her, she says "this matter will have to wait, i hold court in the great hall in the morning"

i need help! please somebody!
 
this is awesome, I was browsing youtube when I saw a video that said how to fix a 360 with the ring of death

the method is, is to wrap 4 or 5 towels around your 360 and leave it on for 20 minutes, after the 20 minutes unwrap the 360 and turn it off, if you did it correctly the next time you turn it on it will work

and to my surprise, after I did this, my 360 is fully operational, HUZZAH

sadly I've heard the effects are only temporary(a week at the most I think) and I do not know if you can keep repeating the process, one can only cheat death for so long

i also heard if u sit ur xbox 360 in the shower and run hot water over it constantly for 3 hours then take it out immediately after and plug it in and play.. it will work again! but that doesn't work on the elite system. for the elite u have to run cold water over it for 3 hours.
