Neo Geo CD system problem (I/O Error)

Does anyone have a list of I/O errors and what they mean?

I did a search on this site and couldn't find them... I know we had listed a few before.

I want to get them all in 1 topic though... and then I am going to move this to tech support for future reference :)

Anyway,I've been having problems with my Neo-Geo
Japanese cd system as of late. Let me explain. When I try to play any
Neo-Geo cd game on the system a message appears on my television set
after or when the game loads sometimes. The message that appears on
screen reads,"DISK I/O ERROR PLEASE POWER OFF." There have been times
when I have been able to play a Neo-Geo cd game on the system,but
briefly though. To be honest,I think that the lens on my Neo-Geo cd
system are dirty and need to be cleaned. I don't know though. If that
turns out to be the case,what lens cleaning kit would you recommend for
the Neo-Geo cd system?

I just wanted to see what you all thought the error might be from.

AND if you think its the lense that needs to be cleaned, would you recommend alcohol and a Qtip?
