New bands to listen to?

Religion is a scare tactic, it causes murder.
Well, I listen to mostly Post-Hardcore, Screamo, spoken word, underground hip-hop. Like, Thrice, Dance Gavin Dance, Emarosa, UnderOath, Sage Francis, Bright Eyes, Brand New, Immortal Technique, so on and so forth.

I was curious if anyone had any suggestions to some new bands to take a listen to. I love pretty much everything. I do like a message in the music, though. :)
 
Spoken Word, what is that, Ive never heard that genre before?

And I doubt any of my suggestions would fit into your area of music, sorry.
 
Flobots is a great Hip Hop band. Um, Streetlight Manifesto is a great band as well, although they aren't really in the same genre you are looking for they are great. You may like MC Chris as well. XD

I bet at least one band you can think of would fall under 'anything'.


Also, Coldplay.
 
The only problem is that absolutely 0% of the people I suggest music too even like what I listen too cause they claim it is so "girly" and "preteeny" "happy go lucky" and such.

BUT I would suggest, any song by The Veronicas, preferably Untouched and Hook Me Up.

Spoken word is essentially like poetry on a beat. Like, "Buddy Wakefield" he's an amazing poet. I bought his book and was super impressed. Also, "B. Dolan" They're both on myspace, so you can google them and find it if you'd like!
 
I like Story of the Year and From First to Last. (From First to Last's new CD sounds a lot ... happier ... than their older stuff.) Both have music up on MySpace.

For something completely different, ORESKABAND. An all-girl ska band form Osaka, Japan. :D It's impossible to be sad when you listen to ska.

Dude, it's d-u-d-e.or did you do that on purpose? I like the song---- DANG! I forgot what it was called. But it's new and cool.
 
i love saying dood, the prinnies use it all the time.

But anyway, I only know of their show, the movie, and that one song. There was another Naked Brothers Band song, but i cant remember its name either.

There songs are hard to remember arn't they. Until you here them a ton of times then there easy. But I can only remember the ones that are old like when they were 13 or 12 (or 9 ) So hard to remember.
