A giant ugly label next to the T or M rating with WARNING on it. Like it's a pack of smokes.

I don't know if they know, but those details are labeled on the BACK OF THE FREAKIN CASE >.>

Destroying Box Art? you betcha!

Laws like this would do absolutely nothing! This is simply a personal vendetta against video games by a couple of idiots who have nothing better to do >:(

When are they going to be required to put the following on Video games?
"Warning! Video Games May Be Addictive; Users May form Dependency."

:lol

If this passes, I will have lost whatever small faith I might have left in our government. For God's sake what they're planning on putting on the label hasn't even been substantiated yet. >:(

Honestly... it could be a lot worse.

I know the rest of us suffer... but hopefully stupid parents that buy violent games for their young kids will wake up. Seriously. Hopefully before they ruin our nice cover art :)

"WARNING: Excessive exposure to violent video games and other violent media has been linked to aggressive behavior."

No it hasn't. It would be just as reasonable to put Warning labels on Joe Baca and Frank Wolf that read:

WARNING: This person has been known to compulsively lie to, and mislead, others in the interests of improving their own public image."

Duncebags.

"WARNING: Excessive exposure to violent video games and other violent media has been linked to aggressive behavior."

Politicians are not experts. So who did they talk to that showed them a direct link between video games and aggressive behavior? Ann Coulter and Jack Thompson are not experts. They are media "street walkers" who want nothing more than to have a camera in front of them. Pundits. All of them. But that's okay. I am over 18 and have gamer kids. Those labels will be meaningless. Because they are meaningless.

If the bill does pass, the ESA will no doubt release its lawyers and the organization could potentially collect another reimbursement check from a governmental organization for wasting its time.

Funny. Because it's true. I hope the ESA sues the sponsors of this bill too for being idiots.

Not only is the science shaky on the media violence issue, but the bill singles out a single industry instead of going after every industry with violent media. Failure appears to be inevitable.

QFT.

And it's quite sad that it could be. I really do find it sad that I can easily imagine an America in which M rated games have taken on an AO status (both legally, and within self-regulatory organizations (the ESRB)). But, the fact that it could be worse actually makes me want to fight this more because if it isn't fought, it will be so much easier for the government to make it worse.
