New NES Knock offs

Has anyone seen these?? I was cruising ebay this morning just killing time, and came accross some "new" NES knock offs. They are all new consoles, and are designed to play old NES games. Is this even legal?? They are going for about $30 with shipping. Some even play U.S and Japanese versions.
Being that I am a bit of a Nintendo "purist" I think these things are stupid. Their whole sales pitch is the "faulty" design of the originals, even though the old ones can be modified to play perfectly.
 
I don't like them.... it may be fine for some people.... but I am more of a purist too.

The are cheap knock offs.

I can't figure out why they would be selling for $30 when you can buy a normal working nes for around that.... that is actually official... and all that good stuff.
Of course, the original one wouldn't be new.... but you wouldn't get a cheap piece either.

Well, I have an original NES that I've had for over 10 years. :) Unforunately, I have a hard time getting some games to play and have to clean, remove, reset over and over. I think the one at http://www.playmessiah.com looks pretty cool. Probably won't ever buy it though. I think there's some way to fix my old NES.

Messiah is by far the best Fami-Clone to arrive in eons they have claimed....Messiah has been advertised at Digitalpress forums for quite some time now. The price of it will be $59.99 with FREE SHIPPING..that is no joke...and no Im not trying to pawn off on some lame commerical, but that is a bargain for a system that is compatible with every single controller made for NES
 
I wouldn't mind an updated version of the NES. I'd prefer if it was made by Nintendo, but the old ones did have a tendency to not work right. Even if it is a cheap fix, its still annoying to have to fix it.
 
It wasn't annoying to me. It took 15 minutes of my time one night and The results would have been worth a week of downtime at a shop. I have literally one game that still screw up on me sometimes. And I think it's the game's fault and not the console.

are they actually selling?

Ebay has new nes toploaders for around $30. They are still knock offs though.
