New PC

Good news guys, I just went from having a wireless internet connection from the opposite corner of my house to having a wired connection.

So now my internet speed is much better!!!

At least get a 7600 GT man. They're among the best "bang for the buck" cards out right now.

And to the guy about HL2 and the 9200 Radeon:

HL2 is pretty old. My X1800 XT can max out HL2 and still get 40 FPS. I just tune down AA a bit to keep it more stable. Your 9200 can barely play newer games like FEAR or Oblivion.

An X1800 XT is good, yes, but far from the best.

I'm just saying that if he expects to play new games on a 7300, or a car dlike yours, expect them to look no better, heck even worse, than a PS2 game.

You ever seen Oblivion played with 1.1 Pixel Shaders? It looks like crap compared to what even a 7600 can do.

My point, was that you can easily get a high-end card for a pretty cheap price. My X1800 XT can play Oblvion on high settings (can't max out shadow amounts or res), but it plays it very well.

If you're looking at computer parts, especially for a gaming PC, you want the best "bang for your buck" card, not something that can barely play a 3 year old game on medium.

You don't want SLI/Crossfire either, unless you have a ridiculously high resolution (higher than 1280x1024) or feel like wasting money. It's better to get the most expensive card you can fit in your budget rather than to SLI/Crossfire lesser cards.
