New Price Rumor on the Wii

I doubt it.

Nintendo has always been a fan of bundles, and I'd love to see one, but a dual-sku would work against them for the Wii product.
How do you suppose?

I'd rather just see a single bundle too...

If Nintendo were to, for example, release a core system as well as a system including two Wiimotes/chucks and Wii Sports. . .

This would work greatly against them, as they would not have a unified installment base. The idea of the Wii is to play together and get nongamers into the fray. You don't do this by confusing that target consumer with multiple bundles or packages, ESPECIALLY if one is deemed an "idiot pack", which I doubt Nintendo would do even if they did.

Nintendo would best benefit from either bundling or not bundling. Not both.

maybe some people (like me) don't want Wii sports... they could offer a different bundle with a different game.. or something. I would be surprised that they launch with a bundle... even with their "togetherness" campaign. They haven't done that since the Snes days... Even for their hand helds (Demo's are not counted).

Wii sports... man that sounds wrong.

Funny you mention the GBA. When the GBA was introduced, it rarely came with a pack-in game until the E-Card bundle was introduced. However, the GBA did have 1 Toys R Us bundle that included Mario Kart Super Circuit and a special "Toys R Us" logoed GBA. While in Japan, they had a number of bundled pack-in games, including the KOF EX black GBA

Yet when GBA SP came out, they had a ton of lovely ones! There was the Target Exclusive Lime Green GBA SP with Donkey Kong Country. The GOLD GBA SP with Super Mario Advance 4 (trust me, it looked Gorgeous) at Toys R Us during X-mas of 2003.
